Hey guys, it's me again !

Last question about the JVM ( I promise :fingersx: ) :

Is there any difference between the 50w head and the 100w one regarding the tone. I loved the 210 head when I tried it and I could have a deal on a used 205 head, but I want to be sure that is has as much gain as the 210, which is amazing in term of distortion.

Cheers.

preamp is exactly the same, no difference at all
100 watt has more oomph in the low end department however...

i agree, the 100 watters do have a little so,mething extra, but when i pulled 2 tubes out of my 210H, knocking it down to 50 watts, i barely noticed a difference. so if you like the 210 you should definitely like the 205.

I personally feel a twist of the resonance knob makes up for the difference in the 205 and 210. It is hardly noticeable and the 205 has ample bottom end.
