Hi
Since this cab is made in the 90's, could it be a C410 that came with the JCM 600 series?
Those came with Celestion G10C-30.
I'm not shure, but I belive 1965 were made in the early 80's.
1965 cabs came with G10L-35, I think.
Hi
I'm planning to fit a 15" speaker in a 1965B cab, to use with my 2061 head.
Any suggestions on which speaker/maker I should use?
I've been looking at Weber's Blue Dogs.
Whats the difference with a alnico speaker vs a ceramic?
None of my two Marshalls has a clean channel. (jtm45ri, 2061)
For boost/overdrive I use Catalinbread Chilli Picoso or a TS-7.
On the 65 Lil' Elvis, I'll just hit the bump footswitch.
These JTM60 amps had some issues with heat and printmounted tubesockets.
I had one for 10 years (I bought it new in '98), without any problems at all.
Works well with blues-rock.
I've swaped 6L6's for KT66 in my JTM45RI. Think I adjusted bias to about 45, or around 42-45mA, if I remember it right.
Mine came with 6L6(5881) stock.
Yeah, hum/noise goes away when I turn off standby (play mode), and works great.
Well, not great, have some problems with the sound fade away when I run both channels and a boost in front. I made another topic for that. Havn't had time to re-check bias yet.
Thanx for your reply, I will check bias again.
When I turned the booster off, the sound returned back to normal. I didn't dear test for more than a few seconds as I was afraid to damage the amp.
Come to think of it, could the volumefading have something to do with that I was running both...
Last night I was playing with my JTM45 RI through a THD Hotplate and a 1922 cab. I used both channels (both volumes at 7) with a A/B/Y pedal, rockin' out, then I hit the booster (catalinbread chilli picoso) and the volume startet wobbling and fading.
What happened? What did I do wrong?
