i wouldn't plug anything into it until you know what it is!
i like a good laugh too guys but :wtf:
pics of the innereds should help our techs figure out what it is.
oh and phototoilet err bucket hosted images wont last long.
this is why when you mod/build an amp you label it!
at the very least...
my favorite amp ATM is a valve 1W push-pull that sounds like a cranked Marshall.
did a delivery to the Black Crows down town one day and the room was filled with little amps :hmm:
small is where it's at for me. </opinion>
now... <back to hatin>
going from a .0022uF to a .022uF is a big change. putting one as a coupling capacitor
in V1, your tone will probably get muddy.
don't change values unless you know what your doing.
i just suggest them as they seem to last. unlike like phototoilet err bucket :fingersx:
so many threads i see "this photo has been deleted from photobucket" etc.
my buddy told me weapons break really fast. i had flashbacks of Condemned
when i heard that.
BTW they patched some glitches on the PC. they are working on patches for all platforms.
M$ has to approve patches before they are released
the first Gears campaign was fun at the time. multi-player sucked. too much health
that and getting sniped in the head by 12 year olds.
the second one was a letdown on the campaign. multi-player was unplayable.
traded that shit quick.
i'll pass on Gears 3. hoping Battlefield 3 is good.
where's the dislike button?
if you use the V1/pin 1 method, one hand behind your back and connect to ground first.
double check with a Volt meter as Lane said.
a fellow 2204/SG owner here
i have greenbacks and love the breakup/tone. in a 4x12, 4 greenbacks (100W) is a good
cabinet for a 50W amp thats capable of 90W when distorted.
check out warehouse guitar speakers AKA WGS. they have a "green beret" which
is a greenback clone. the consensus...
the VM 2466 is a 100W amp right? be careful what speakers you put in it.
100W tube amps can put out 170ish Watts with distortion. 50W amps around 90W.
i set my 2x12 up for 50W (2204) and i'm regretting it. :(
the jack could be bad or it's solder connection could be loose.
you might wanna double check your wiring on the cabinet. a multi tester can
check the ohm's on your cabinet without opening it up.
if you don't have a backup amp, get yourself one.
good luck :fingersx:
i've always been mechanically inclined. my father taught me how to solder
when i was like 8 years old. i also like to tweak and improve things.
i just started a few months ago with amps. first i learned how to discharge
deadly capacitors. also learned if you need to check voltages on a live...
12AX7 will not work as an output tube.
JJ ECC82 (non gold pin) sounds killer as an output tube in my 12AU7 amp.
i like JJ's ECC83-S as far as new preamp tubes go.
\/everything below confirm with a tech before you try them!\/
i've read about guys swapping a 12AU7 for a 12BH7, or a 12AT7. not...
EVH should be the poster child for don't smoke cigarettes kids.
Fuzz pedals aside i don't like distortion pedals but i was blown away by Pinnacle.
