    I tried one in store before buying my DSL1 and it just wasn't for me. I understand if you dime everything and shape the tone with a good pedal or two it can get you places, but for me it just wasn't going where I wanted to go. Easy to see why they're popular and glad you dig yours, though.

    So, I've owned my fair share of tube amps over the last 25 years, but never had one without a standby switch of some sort... until I got this DSL1. How does it not shorten the lifespan of the tubes to just turn it off/on without warm up/cool down? Is there some internal circuitry black magic...

    Two 110s or One 112?

    Thanks for the input. The guy I got the JCA off of told me he has a Fryette R112 he'll hook me up with, so 112 it is.

    First tube amp!!! Please help

    To put a fly in your ointment, how about a DSL20HR and two cabinets, each cab with different speaker(s) to get you your cleans/grits. A 20 can get plenty loud enough, especially with PA reinforcement. Then a simple cab switcher pedal alognside the DSL footswitch and boom, you're there.

    Two 110s or One 112?

    I have a DSL1HR sitting on my MG Stack, with Celestion 10 30s in the MG cabs. Got a Jet City JCA22H and now I have to move amps, shuffles cables etc, if I want to play either or. So, I'm either going to get a 112 cab for the Jet City, or a cab switcher so I don't have to jump through the hoops...

    Thanks, added that to the shopping list. Want to get a dedicated cab for it first, so I don't have to swap cables around when I switch between it and my DSL1. Then, let the mods begin.

    oh nice. Thx for the pics. where did you get the parts? TIA! I ran an MXR 10-band eq into the FX loop and wow what a difference. All that high end Lightning sizzle plus all the bottom end Thunder. Can’t believe it took me so long to get one of these amps.
