If I'd be forced to sell everything else but one guitar and one amp I would be left with a Guild S300A, Marshall JMP 2204 (1979) and a Marshall JCM 800 Lead cab (+ a bunch of pedals). I'd choose the JMP over my Rockerverb because it's more versatile and the S300A is hands down the best guitar...
It was just a clone of a OCD and I don't remember which version it was but it did nothing for me. And I'm a guy who finds something good about most pedals! But if there's one brand I've bought and sold the most, it must be BOSS. And I don't have any of them anymore, that ought to tell you...
Nothing ultra-rare but these don't come by too often:
Guild S100 Deluxe nature boy, Guild 300A in sunburst and a Carved S100 nature boy.

Thanks! I likes them Orange circles bestest
OT: Where can I add a signature to my post? I've looked for it in the User CP _several_ times but haven't found it :ugh:
I'd take that "ugly one" over the other two any day. I'm visually allergic to gold and bling bling so I play a blonde ESP 400 Series tele. It's a great guitar!
I've been helping a local man with 120+ guitars by buying 4 guitars (2 Guilds, 1 CS Gibson, 1 ESP tele), one amp head and one 2x12 cab off of him. We are getting along so well he offers me great pay plans ;) I think he's well under 100 now...
As for the "right" amount of guitars to own I can't...
May I join the club?
I had a AD30HTC for years but when I got my JMP it had to go. Marshall does the rock thing better for my taste. Luckily I still have my trusty Rockerverb 50 mkI and a PPC212 to cover for any beta carotene deficiency. It's not SO different from the JMP, they are from the...
I'll be happy to talk about Guilds any time! My recents purchase, the S60-D, is missing from the family pic I posted.
Tested the 1960 cab yesterday and it made a big difference on the sound. A lot of the harshness I had with the 1936V is gone and I got a lot more low end like I wished and...
Thanks folks!
Seems like I'll be picking up a JCM 800 Lead 1960 (Vintage 30's) tomorrow for some testing. If it beats my 1936V I'll have to empty my bank account once more and get the 212 sold to compensate.
Any quick points on what to inspect considering that 1960? Was it ever made of MDF...
Greetings!
I've had my first Marshall for only a few weeks but already registered here ;) Took a JMP 2204 (from 1979) for a test run but never returned it, oops. Few weeks later went back to the seller and bought his 1936V cab too. Now I'm going through different tubes and speaker elements...
