I recently bought an SPL Reducer and love it. It works great for both my DSL40C and my Dr.Z SRZ65. I had ordered it from Thoman and even with shipping from Germany it was still almost $100.00 cheaper than buying in the US. I had a THD Hotplate several years ago and the SPL is so much better.
Here you go. Not the best recording since it was done with my phone. I couldn't turn the amp up as much as I wanted to showing how it really shines since my friends wife was home and she would have thrown a fit. I had my friend playing so I could mess with the controls. You can see everything...
Not at the moment. I actually keep it at friends house, I'll see if I can get over there tomorrow and make one. Might not be the best sounding since all I have is my cell phone, LOL
Marshall TSL 60 head in good condition. Recently re-tubed with Genalex Gold Lion B759 12AX7's and thetubestore.com Preferred Series EL34's. Amp works perfectly with no issues. Has a brand new 5 button foot switch also. $550.00 plus shipping CONUS. Please ask if you have any questions. Thanks!
They did not sound brighter. Along with the new pre amp tubes they really helped to mellow out the over brightness of the red channel. I have the preferred series 7025's in the amp as well. The combination just made the amp sound better. It's fuller, warmer, and just smoother sounding.
A little late to the game on this one but I have them in my TSL60 and DSL40C. They made both amps sound better and really smoothed out the sound of the DSL40 quite a bit. They've got great reviews from others that have bought them also on the site.
so I was going to run the head through my Marshall 1936 cab and just realized that it is 8 ohms mono to run both speakers, I'm guessing to run the head through both speakers at the 8ohm level is not a good idea. I've never tried to run different ohms. Any thoughts on this or am I stuck running...
The sound is really good with the stock tubes but the new tubes seemed to tame some of the highs and smooth it out along with removing some of the high gain hiss. You don't have to bias anything as I did check with Marshall on it. They said the ECC82 is a cathode bias which means you can just...
So I got mine the other day and I love it! It sounded really good with the stock tubes but I threw some new ones in. I had ordered a couple Genalex gold lions for it, one 12ax7 and an ECC82, along with a preferred series 7025 from thetubestore.com. The new tubes took it to a whole new level for...
Selling my TSL 60 as i just don't need it. The head is in great condition and was completely gone through and re-tubed with Preferred series tubes from thetubestore.com. by a local tech who was highly recommended. Asking $750.00 shipped but would be willing to come down a little if sold through...
thanks! I wasn't sure if it was a stock tube or not since it had a couple of different brands in it already. I picked it up used and was doing some experimenting.
I was tube rolling some different pre-amp tubes in my TSL 60 and one of the tubes I pulled out of it is labeled VLVE-20052 WK7. Any one have any knowledge of what brand of tube this or what it is exactly? I am assuming it is a 12AX7 but no idea what brand. Thanks!
