Just drove a six hour round trip to pick up a 1990s built 1960 Tall Vintage cabinet with British Greenbacks. Now it sits under my JVM410hjs head and it sounds great!! Life is good today! :applause:

I may be in the honeymoon phase but I already love it. Its amazing and just perfect for the music I play and the tones I was after. I use an eleven rack through the effects loop for reverb, EQ and other stuff as needed. I couldn't be happier and it sounds great to me whether I'm playing my Strat...
Thanks. My only concern is will they perform well as the Anniversaries at low volumes since that is usually where I play at. I read where the G12-75s can sound kind of thin and dry at low volumes but sound great when cranked up. Don't know how true that is.
Need some suggestions. I have an EVH 2x12 cab loaded with g12H30 Anniversary speakers. Im using a JVM410hjs head. I do not gig and only play at home at low to low moderate levels. To me they sound great. I have a chance though to trade for a Marshall 4x12 1960A cabinet with the stock 12T 75s I...
This is my first time ever using an effects loop so if I sound like I don't know what Im talking about, I don't:) I hooked up my eleven rack using the four cable method and using the effects loop on my JVM410hjs. On the eleven rack I get my effects and even amp modeling even though I really only...
I have a JVM410hjs head I am currently using through a EVH 2x12 cabinet. It has the Anniversary 30s I believe. There is someone that wants to trade me his Marshall 1960A cabinet that has the GT-75s. I live way out in the country and really have no local store to try one out. Question is do you...
Im going to leave that question to someone that has used both in a gig or practice situation as I only use mine for playing at home. To me they both have oomph but whether one cuts through the mix better than the other. Just don't know.
Well I received my new to me JVM410hjs! Awesome amp! I already own the JVM410h which is a great amp too. However there seems to be enough difference between the two that I would say they are almost totally different amplifiers. I think both the 410h and 410hjs are great and both serve their own...
Selling my JVM410h. Awesome amp. 2002 build date and has never been gigged. Mostly only played at bedroom volumes and only played in my den. Never around smoking. It looks and plays like new. Comes with footswitch and cable and copy of manual. Sorry not interested in trades. 1200.00 plus buyer...
Re: JVM410hjs on the way!
Well got the 410hjs in and just went through each channel and every mode just to make sure all was working ok. I do like the cleans to my surprise and the crunch channel is great! However it will take me a little while to compare the two. I can also certainly tell that...
Re: JVM410hjs on the way!
May certainly be right. My hope is that I have more usable gain on the OD channels and more gain on the crunch channel even though I don't play modern metal and mostly play 60s, 70, 80 type rock. The clean channel is where I expect the least. At least from the...
Re: JVM410hjs on the way!
Wont be the first time I have been lynched for stating a personal opinion but that wont stop me from stating my opinion. We all know what opinions are like anyway:)
Bought a new to me JVM410hjs today and it should be here by Wednesday. I already have the 410h so it will be interesting to compare. I really like the 410h so hopefully I will like the 410hjs even more. We shall see but I'm excited to try it.
I had a hard time with my 410h finding tones I like after just coming off an EVH5150iii mini. The trick for me was resonance at zero, presence at 2 oclock and with bass, mids, treble and gain all at zero I slowly brought up each until I found the tones I liked. I did this on each channel. On the...
Great suggestion. On my OD channels and even my crunch channel I zeroed everything and slowing brought up the EQ settings including presence and resonance until I reached my perfect tone. Except for presence all my EQ settings are below 5 and the tones are awesome. So much better than what I...
One month old EVH 2 x 12 cabinet in ivory. Has tilt back braces and casters. Would like to trade for or towards black Marshall 2 x 12 or 4 x12. Prefer local deal in the Greenville Clemson area of SC.
