Yes almost like a Deluxe. Doesn't have the S-1 switching though which is fine. Back in the 90s and I think up to 2001 the Beck models had a fat neck, and I believe used Lace pickups. When he went with noiseless PUs he had them custom wound. The neck on the current model like the one I got is...
Not great at taking pictures but my new Jeff Beck Stratocaster in surf green is here! Yes I know its not exactly like the original 90s Beck model but I love it! The neck feels great and the set up from the factory is pretty darn good. I think this may be one of the nicest playing Stratocasters I...
Exactly my experience going from the 410H to the HJS. Still has all the gain one could possibly want but seems to be more tunable and adjustable to my liking. I tried just bringing the gain down on the 410H but when I did it became very thin and fuzzy sounding to my ears. I don't have that...
Love my HJS. Best amp I have owned but never owned the Hiwatt. Only owned the EVH 5150iii and JVM410H and much happier with the HJS. Probably because it fits my style of playing better. However only your ears can tell you if you will like it.
I don't use Pro Tools and just use the USB to run to the computer for the editing software so I can make adjustments and create patches and save them. The Eleven Rack is hooked up through the fx loop on the amp like its supposed to be. I have the Eleven Rack hooked up using the four cable...
No hum when eleven rack is unhooked from amp but I found the problem. Eleven Rack has a right and left out to amp jacks. I was just reading on a forum where someone was running into the same situation and someone said that there have been a few that had bad jacks on the (L) Out to amp jack. So I...
Have a JVM410HJS and I have been using an Eleven Rack, not for amp models but just for a few effects and the convenience of being able to adjust things through the computer and for creating some simple patches. Never use more than 2-3 effects at a time and maybe the EQ. I have it hooked through...
Even on my HJS I add an EQ sometimes through the effects loop. Makes it even more versatile and like you said lets me voice it to my liking. Sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't. Just depends.
Yea personally I like the cleans on the 401H better too and don't even use the green mode on the JS but have gotten to like the amber mode on the clean channel. I even tried the Eleven Rack amp modeling using a Blackface amp model through the green mode on the clean channel on the JS. Long story...
Mine at bedroom levels sounds good and then great when cranked up. I know tone is subjective but with my four British Greenbacks I get growl and grunt even at low volumes. No problem with bass and even keep my resonance at zero. At least it sounds great to me which isn't important to you of...
I don't and the string attack and cut seems great even on lower notes. I do run my gains low to medium though. All are below half. My presence I run at about 6-7 and I keep my resonance at zero.
Guess we all cant like the same things, experience or hear the same things. Some will like the amp and some wont and that's ok. I owned an EVH 5150iii 50 watt and while most love it I didn't and sold it to get the Marshall.
I get plenty of growl and grunt on my HJS even at lower volumes. I'm using Greenbacks x 4 mixed with two Anniversaries. Also the string attack from low to high seems fantastic. At least to me. In saying that though I haven't owned other Marshalls to compare it to. I run my Volumes up full...
I say Layman because I am no expert on Marshalls and have never owned any model except the 410H and now 410HJS. Other than the 410H I cant compare to other models. First I don't want to take anything away from the 410H. Its an awesome amp.
I only play at home at above conversation levels and...
