Personally I'd rather be over cautious especially seeing as though they're all original filter caps, two of them are bubbling at the top quite bad too.
But yeah if I completely removed the black caps and replaced all the stock caps would it be like it once was ?
Thanks for the replies guys, would it be Okay for me to remove the two black caps, and replace all the stock daly filter caps and it'll run like originally designed? I can see the wiring is slightly different due to the new caps but I'd love to get it back to 'stock' spec and just replace the 6...
Opened my 2203 from 1977 today to replace the bright cap, I've not had it long so havent opened it before however I was abit surprised to see this inside my amp which from what I've seen of other 2203's isn't original?
Can anyone tell me why they are there and what for?
I'm talking about the...
Do you think I should just leave it at the orientation and not risk damaging the gasket? As long is it doesn't sound any different I'd be happy I think
You can kind of see what I mean here the one on the right in my cab looks exactly like this but the one on the left has all the holes one to the side so exact opposite.
Hello everyone,
I've just replaced the G12T-75s out of my 2x12 cab with some of the Celestion G12m-65 Creambacks. My only question is does it matter if the speakers are facing each other? With these speakers being 4 hole I couldnt put it anyway I liked, one went in the correct way and another...
I have a JCM800 2204 from 82, and it's one of the best amps i've ever played, i've played reissue 2203's and original 2203's. The originals just sound better than the reissues, i'm not sure what it is but i have a lot of covers on my youtube, HarryAndAGuitar - YouTube where i use it and a couple...
Hello,
I have a 4x12 and up till today all the speakers were working fine, one of the speakers has completely gone, different thread over at MyLesPaul explains it.
I was wondering, how would i rewire the cab to use just two speakers? and then set my JCM800 to the impedance that these two...
I have a JCM800 2204 it's a 50watter, sounds amazing and you get that nice distortion earlier on with the 2204 not as much headroom as the 2203.
Great for any tones you want too, Les Paul, JCM800 = amazingnessplus1.
Hahaa :headbanger:
I use a Bad Monkey and it's awesome, I use it as a boost pedal and I use it to get from AC/DC to Van Halen and A7X.
Great pedal, I especially like the high and low knobs.
Would you not even consider swapping for a JCM800 2204 1982 in real good condition except from a couple lotex tears and 2 'dastor' prints on the tolex?
Haha i want to dime my JCM 800 but it seems the louder i turn it up it gets very trebly to where it hurts my ears because it's so high pitched.
Is this a problem with everyone or is it my pickups? (stock 58 historic burstbuckers).
