    WTB - 1976 Pointer Knob w/o Marker

Here is a photo of the 5 I have. Anything close to these in terms of condition would be great. These 5 are the solid back version.

Yeah I’ve learnt a lot too. Good discussion. Appreciate everyone’s input.

74' Super Lead Board - What to replace & Polarity Switch?

And what’s that protecting? When you flip the mains switch, the fuse still protects what it needs to whether it’s before or immediately after. I would rather have constant energy on just the switch rather than the switch and the fuse.

74' Super Lead Board - What to replace & Polarity Switch?

Not sure I like this idea or see a point to it. I’m just going to wire the power cord (hot and neutral) to the top two lugs of the switch and then wire the fuse and PT primary on the other side of the switch. I’m also switching the polarity and power switches around so I get all the poles I...

74' Super Lead Board - What to replace & Polarity Switch?

So this is weird, started making some changes and noticed the white neutral wire is connected to the fuse. Has anyone ever seen this before? This doesn’t make sense. This is from factory too as the connections still have the red inspection marks on them. White neutral wire went to the fuse...

74' Super Lead Board - What to replace & Polarity Switch?

This is my first super lead, so I am looking for some info on the board and what is the standard maintenance you guys do. I have a bunch of Iskra and Piher spares so I will use NOS/OEM parts to keep this looking original. I am thinking of replacing the following: - 27k bias resistor ahead of...

    JCM 800 2204 - Died - No Current?

Measure resistance from one 3.15vac secondary to the other, or each secondary lead to ground? I really need a solid guide for testing power and output transformers. That is one area I suck at for sure. Also, after I replaced the tube, the amp is less distorted and has a bit of a tighter...

    JCM 800 2204 - Died - No Current?

Just to close this off, it was a failing 12ax7. Drew too much current. I know people talk crap about the extra fuses in the Canadian models, but I would rather have 5 extra fuses over a blown transformer any day. Everything is good. Live to fight another day.

    JCM 800 2204 - Died - No Current?

Hi! Yes I screwed up. I had to pull the fuse as mentioned. One of the 6.3vac heater fuses popped. Just one of them. Now the question is "why". I just finished testing my tubes and didn't find any shorts or issues, but I think there could still be a tube problem. Once I get a new fuse...

    JCM 800 2204 - Died - No Current?

Yes all the fuses passed continuity tests on my mm. I have 3.3vac at every valve socket v5 to v1. . 2/7, 2/7, 45/9, 45/9, and 45/9. I don’t know wtf is going on. So strange. Damn pilot light won’t even come on. 6 vac pilot. Metal toggles.

    JCM 800 2204 - Died - No Current?

Hi, My 86' Canadian JCM 800 2204 died on me. I turned on the power and there was no indicator light (6vac powered off the first power tube). Tubes didn't light up. No sound at all through the amp. Here is what I did: - Shut off the amp and plugged it in through my light bulb limiter. With...

    Completed JohnH Attenuators?

Do you guys find these units to get hot? Is a fan necessary for attenuating a 2203 or super lead 100 watt?

    FS/FT: Marshall JMP 2203

That smells scam-y. Why take a whole bunch of photos of the inside, but none on the outside? Is anyone else wondering that? Are the photos of the inside your amp, or some you found online?

    FS/FT: Marshall JMP 2203

No way man. Who's going to give you 2800 euros for an amp without actual photos. It's on the seller to prove that the photos are actual and up to the buyer to get the most proof possible. Even photos aren't good enough for me on private sales. An interactive video chat with the seller is...

74' Dagnall Power Transformer: Rewind Specs & Flux Band Noise Reduction?

Sounds good Heyboer said they can wind the secondary to give me 175-0-175 with 120vac on the primary. Looking forward to it.

Non-Master Volume - Audio vs Linear Taper

Ok. Screw it then. I will just look for a log 1meg pot. Does anyone have one for sale? A vintage one? Just PM if you can help me out...Please. Thanks for all the comments. I learned a lot.

Non-Master Volume - Audio vs Linear Taper

Thanks for the detailed insight. The way I run the Super Lead, a linear pot would probably work for me. Basically, my situation is I have a period correct Linear 1M pot, but not a period correct 1Meg Log. The amp came with a modern 1Meg Log in Volume I, and I want to get rid of it. That's...

    FS/FT: Marshall JMP 2203

Master and Preamp Knobs look funny. Do you have a pic of those pots in the chassis? I don't see those in your pics.
