    Which Marshall?

I've tried several attenuators over the years and the Tone King Ironman ii Attenuator is what I use and recommend. Marshall JVM410H is my amp into 2 1960b cabs.

    Compressors with eq’s

I love the Strymon Compadre. It gives me the ability to run it dry and wet. I have a really full sound now with great sustain!

    Strymon Compadre Compressor

Les Paul, jvm410h, 2 1960b's, and I'm thinking of getting a Strymon Compadre compressor. I will run it dry, and wet, to bring up the bottom to get the fullness and sustain that it offers. What say you? Is it worth it? My friend has one and it really brings the tones forward. Also I was thinking...

    New Tubes

Where is the best place to buy pre amp and power amp tubes? I have seen Tube depot and a Euro tubes online but not sure. JJ's are what I have now and I'm satisfied with that manufacture. Probably matched/balanced and burned in. What's your opinion?

    Amp Attenuators

Thank you guys for taking the time to reply. I've decided not to spend the $900 + (with tax) on an attenuator. I as well as most of you here love my 410h amp and it does exactly what I need from it.

    Amp Attenuators

I realize that if I can operate the Jvm at 45% or greater that it will produce the best sound the amp has to offer to the speakers. That is the main reason I was looking into a attenuator, but at what cost? Obviously the power tubes will be running much hotter, and not only the tubes. I studied...

    Amp Attenuators

After reading about attenuators and talking to those who know more about adding an attenuator, including you guys here, I've decided not to get an one. With the size of amp I have its only going to heat up the power tubes to a point that they have to be replaced more often. My setup is in the...

    Amp Attenuators

I have a JVM410H outputting to a 1960bv and a 1960bc and would like to get an 16 ohm attenuator. Both are attached to the 8 ohm out of the amp. Question : Do I have to buy 2 attenuators? I only see one in and one out on the Attenuators I've looked at.

Amps we dont talk about in public.

I have a Crate Palomino V-32H and the 2x12 cab. It puts out a growl that is phenomenal! Wouldn't trade it for anything. All tube and serious! Mike it and you can play all day in an outdoor venue. Need to mod it as that resistor gets HOT!

    JVM410H Tubes

I presently have JJ's all the way around. Reverb has this set: (4) "Platinum Matched" Mullard EL34 power tubes (3) Mullard 12AX7 preamp tube (1) Balanced Mullard 12AX7 preamp tube (PI) (1) Tung-Sol 12AX7 preamp tube (CF) Or this from Tube Amp Doctor Brand: (1) T-E34L-TAD-MQ, which includes: (4)...

    Difference between Marshall Cabs models

I have and use the 1960bc (classic) 4x12 25w greenbacks, very clean. I also have a 1960bv Celestion G12's 4x12 70w. There is some seriously deep bass and British crunch. Jvm 410h is driving both. I love them both use them in my gigging. Alas that nearly a year ago.

    Marshall JVM410H 12ax7 Chassis Grommet

I was told by a friend that JJ's have a short life span. Is this true? What say you.

    Marshall JVM410H 12ax7 Chassis Grommet

Thanks for that info. I picked up the amp for $1,400 in like new condition. Saw this on Reverb and jumped on it like a duck on a June bug! It has a full set of JJ's in it and I'm looking for a better quality set of tube's.

    Marshall JVM410H 12ax7 Chassis Grommet

I was using a Crate V32H amp and the 2x12 speaker that came with the original amp. Bought it from someone that bought it new in the 90's. They put it on the shelf (in the box), never used! I wanted a Marshall jvm410h for years for outdoor venues. I then picked up a 1960bc with greenbacks and a...

    Marshall JVM410H 12ax7 Chassis Grommet

Thanks for the help. I ordered a 12ax7 tube shield. It's a spring loaded bayonet style so I won't have to put a machine screw and nut on. Original part made for the Marshall JVM410H. This is for the 12ax7 V6 that's next to the transformer. I assume the original owner didn't want it on that tube...

    Marshall JVM410H 12ax7 Chassis Grommet

I'm trying to find a replacement grommet that is used in the chassis where the 12AX7 sits. I have four but I'm missing the 5th one. Bought it used and one of the grommets was missing. Can anyone help me find one? Would like to buy several to keep as a backup. Thanx!
