The New Marshall MA, is the new all tube marshall head with some cool features :naughty:

And....

And,

For our younger members,

The price is'nt too high, And it's the cheapest amp marshall ever made!

It's avalable in a 100w or 50w head, and a 100 or 50w 2x12 combo.
It has some new speakers made by marshall.
The put them in the combo and in the new MA 4x12 cab they are going to sell too.

It would look and sound good with a 2x12 cab i think, here are some pics:

Well this news is only a month or so old. And I don't think it's the cheapest amp Marshall has ever made.

I love the idea of this new series. I can't wait to hear one. My main problem is that it says the speakers are made by Eminence. What the heck? I don't want a Marshall with Eminence. I want a Marshall with Celestion!!! :)

This amp looks great... Maybe I should pick it up?

What amps do you own right now?

One of them is a dsl isn't it?

then the ma is cool for backup, but not a replacement for that amp...

It's made as a 'i want to buy my first tube amp' amp.
or a 'I need a backup amp for my marshall tube amp but i don't want to spend too much money amp'.

But i think it won't be an amp for a more expencive marshall owner.

I own an AVT and 1987. This would replace the AVT for gigging. Just talking out of my ass of course... Who knows...

Steve Dawson, the gentleman that designed the Vintage Modern and Class 5, also designed this model. It has some very interesting features, such as the Crunch Balance. Unfortunately the cab is made of MDF and not plywood. I have high hopes for it and am looking forward to trying one out.

those two are even more expencive than that amp...

I think the MA are priced above the Class 5 and both Haze amps:

the MA50H 50W Amplifier Head ($950), the MA50C 50W Combo Amplifier ($1,000), the MA100H 100W Amplifier Head ($1,100), and the MA100C 100W Combo Amplifier ($1,250)

There was also the JTM 30/60 (JCM 600) which were a lot cheaper - my JTM 60 was $500 in '97.

but guys .......it lights up with LED's , the interior of the head has leds that glow !!
its a keeper for sure !

Damn, now that's a deal clincher! Only tubes light up my 900 and I was going to upgrade the insides with a laser, lightning, & pyro show. But seriously, tone is the selling point. I haven't heard these yet.

I saw one the other day and I thought it look really cool but my main worry is the see-through front baffle. It seems a bit flimsy and couldn't see it lasting too long with a lot of gig/rehearsal use.
