I heard one of these used once...
never felt even the slightest urge to buy one.:ugh:

(enormous photo of Metal Zone removed)

Oh! How could I forget that piece of junk. Here's a song that I swear was recorded with one: Sounds like ass. Like ass filled with bees, even.

Every pedal that ive wanted is always way more then i wanted to spend.

The JHS sweet tea or the angry charlie, box of rocks sounded ok and the Weehbo Plexdrive the orange one. I think bogner made one that i kinda liked the sound of also red or blue cant remember but i swear they are all over $250.

it's not a big disappointment but i must add this pedal
i like very much the sound for rhythmics

i do not like the pedal with 9V adapter that plugs into the right side
i prefer in the middle like 90% of the pedals
so i must add

I've owned both the MXR 78 Badass and the Pinnacle; wasn't disappointed per se, just realized that both of them are designed to make an amp sound like a Marshall, which makes no sense if you already have one. To me it's like taking a bucket of sand to the beach.

The last pedal that really disappointed me was the Wampler Dual Fusion. It's a great pedal, but it's really designed to work with a clean amp. Definitely colored the sound too much for me.

This is exactly why I dont own an OCD, a nice pedal but I dont need it.

and a pinnacle +laney .?
I read that the pinnacle could not replace the overdrive channel of an amp and it's not what I want if that's
i like pedals which sound like a full tubes amp like the fantastic Jackhammer (the sound is so warm)

I don't like nthe one DigiTech series. They are very well built and competetively priced.

I've owned three of them. Grunge was possibly OK. But just not my cup of tea.

It's digital. I sorta like digital. Bad Monkey just seems to suck out tone. The drive is there. But it deadens the sound. I was glad to have sold two of my pedals for what I paid for them.

I still have Bad Monkey in case I missed something.....they sell cheap on Ebay and that tells you something. Like the BOSS DS-1.

Digitech = i used some of their products when i was a beginner
i had the "metal master" : numeric and i did not know the sound was so bad / metal muff: )
i had a rp 300 and 350 too : bad sound with an amp but a whammy included:)
and good with a computer

i had the Clapton model : :ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh:

you can't use it : the sound is too bad
i just used it as a treble boost

there is an acoustic simulation of a Martin guitar too
why not?

now, there are good pedals to try : one for 12 strings simulation
one : THE DROP (but i read a bad review)
- the hardwire models too : not bad

i have the DL8 delay and it works

Phaser: i have an EHX small stone and it's special
phase shifter
it's not a classic phaser but good

amp /delay/phaser/dist/wah/tuner/guitar

if you want a classic phaser (van Halen) there is MXR products

my disappointment is about the MXR univibe
used pedal
it's like a big phaser or vibrato
you must spend a lot of time if you want a vintage sound without too much phaser
vibrato mode only
i don't know how Hendrix could have some fantastic sounds with that

the effect (phaser) is too much important in what i hear

This one works OK but was hoping for more transparency, makes bottom end all mushy and just recently when you switch it on or off there is a delay on the effected signal. Takes a sec for it to come alive.
