Head Shell Build Pics for Ceriatone JTM45 (done)

Day 1...
Decided to use 5/8" chip board, kinda like what Marshall uses on their low-grade cabs.
Built out the face frame with 1x2 pine cut to size.
Dowels and glue and a clamp or two.

fashioned a rounded bottom lip from some 1/8" x 1 scrap laying around.

Front and back panel mounting strips from the 5/8" chip board.

Test fit on the front & back.



Rounded off the corners with the scarry 3/4" router bit.

Got the handle mounted & vent cut in the top.
Chassis bolts and sprung feet mounted.

Found some nice, expanded metal mesh ( $4 gutter leaf guard ) I'll put in that hole in the back after the tolex.

I had 2 size vents and decided to put the large vent in the top.

And a final assembly to try it out before I take it all apart again for the tolex.

Tolex layout.
White crayon for cut lines and to locate the shell after the adhesive is set.

Shell wrapped and cut.
Getting ready for the front & back panels.

Piping on the front for a test fit.

Gutter mesh in the back panel.

Corners riveted, handle and vent screwed in.

Ready to load the chassis.

LOL - got a package in the mail today.
Thought at first it was the truss rod cover I ordered on Reverb over the weekend.
Then I saw it was from Scooter.
Envelope inside an envelope, and wrapped in folded paper, and a bag inside a bag, taped to the paper was...

I was worried that it would ate up by the postal machines, so I wrapped it in numerous layers for protection.
