This was my 1st proper gigging amp before that I used whatever I could borrow. Its
's a Peavey Classic 50w valve combo. Very Fenderish soundwise. Now long gone.

When I started playing back in 1987, you could get Fender Champs and Mustangs for $100 at local pawn shops. Mine was a 70's Vibrochamp that came with a 70's Crybaby, it was a sweet deal for $40 from a friend. Of course, I later sold it to get something louder in order to jam, it was a Yamaha G100 solid state, 100 watts of buzzsawing...

Five years later, I got a 1968 Bandmaster and it has been all tubes from then on.

But after all the Fenders, I have kept my Marshall because it rules!

Like someone mentioned before, I cannot remember the little 9v battery operated amp I had for my first week of playing electric.
I soon needed more volume, and this was the first amp I bought! nasty little bollix.

I'm not sure.
This isn't my actual amp, but it's exactly like my first one, which I still own today. Mine is a 1986 model 5010 30w solid state.

In all my 25+ years of playing, I've never owned anything but Marshall amps!

Cheers!
:dude::dude::dude:

I had the same thing...30 watt solid state 1x12 Master Lead Combo.
John Petrucci played through it once for a jam session at my friend's house.

A Gorilla GG25! This pic isn't of mine, but the same model.

I had the same one.... Fried it with a bad transformer when I came to Europe for vacation.
Still have the guitar (my first) that I played over it though ('78 Kramer Artist)

Peavey MarkIV head with a custom built 2-15 cab that my dad made for me. With a Hondo Strat. Paranoid never sounded so fast lol.

Sears Silvertone 40xl.
40 watts with reverb AND tremolo!
I got it for Christmas in 1973, and didn't turn it all the way up (and find out how great it sounded) until 1977,
after I saw KISS at my first concert :)

I remember the first amp I had . I was about 11 years old and had been saving money for some time to buy a guitar and a small amp. Unfortunately, the only amp I could afford was a crappy 10W Kustom transistor kombo and a Reno Stratocaster for roughly what today is 170 euros (it was Finnish Markka back then..).

Anyway here it is: The Kustom KGA10 featuring gain, tone and a master and a 6 inch speaker if I remember correctly.
