Hey guys.

I have a 1983 Vertical input 2203, Canadian edition with EL34s.

I'm considering having an Effects loop installed. Any idea how much that will de-value it? I would have it done with the ability to true-bypass it. I run a number of Time based effects that would work better in a loop.

Thoughts?

fwiw if I owned that amp I wouldn't do the mod but that's me. Not worth it imo and most of those looking for that amp would probably prefer it wasn't there.

At least for me that alone would be a deal breaker if I was an interested party.

For others it might be a deal 'maker'

I agree with you Steelhorse, and for the same reasons you listed.

That's the least you wanna do with that 2203.
I do have an '81 2204, it's all original no mods.
If I were to add an effect loop, I'd get a Vintage Modern head for it and leave the 2204 as is. (Hopefully soon :fingersx:)
