I bought a used Egnater Tweaker 1X12 cab with a V-type Celestion T5901A GT12V-70 8ohms 50 10AZ. Love it with my SC20H for small jams. I also have the SV212 cab with stock V- type. Both for me work well when playing classic rock, metal type music. I also like that the 8ohm speaker in the 1X12 has a darker sound.

Completely forgot about this thread to be honest, I think I've narrowed it down to an SC212 cab and I'll just leave the V-types, sure they are not the most ideal for some of the artists I am aiming to get close to tone-wise but in the end if it's a decent all-around speaker for 70s and 80s classic rock, glam rock, hard rock and thrash metal I'm happy. It's just becoming a pain now though to try and find one because all the ones near me sold out on black Friday and there are no secondhand ones for sale. Here we go again on another search for gear

Fender Bassbreaker 212. Comes with the V type speakers. I use this cab with my SC800. Only I put a Celestion Gold/Blue in it. Had them sitting round. Fucking epic cab. A few in the know(users)know it's a good 212. Google reviews on it. Get them cheaper used. I paid $550 new for mine. This one here is $100 less.

Fucking hell. The SC 212 is $1200. See this Marshall USA🖕(hopefully new ownership will fix that ego tax).

I'm too practical vs a branding tax. I mean just no. I bought my EVH 5153 412 & Orange PPC 412 each under that. the Orange was $1020. EVH $1K. It pains me to see others paying these prices for new. Look at used for the branding match. Wow!

Dude!!

Just get a 1965 4x10 cab. DONE. 35lbs and those speakers in that cab are KILLER. SO GOOD...they make my DSL sound pretty awesome too...tightened up the low-end and smooths out any shrill high-end. Plenty of bass...plenty...but they really, really make that SV20h sing...so good! There is just some magic that a stellar/speaker cab does where it buffs out any junk in your tone and makes it great; at least in my limited experience. Can't stress that enough. Anytime someone hates on an amp...I'm often thinking..."Man it's probably just their cab or combo".

For gigging my 1965a is easier and lighter to move than a 2x12 and the sound is just incredible. Plus, size wise, they really fit that SV20h size so well. Mine is the 1965a and I think it aesthetics of the slant top really fit it so well. That being said, Gene has had both I believe and thinks the B likely sounds a bit better (its a bigger cab, and Gene has a ton of experience)...but it doesn't look as cool :) . I got mine for 350$ with the original speakers in it from 1984. It has cup handles on the side so it's an easy sumo squat to move and keep it close to my body with two hands. Casters are nice to have. Some models have larger hand holds with the grip bars on them which would be great. Credit to Gene on here for turning me on to one of these. I went to an older musician dudes house that was selling one and he had it set up with a KILLER amp. It was kind of a Dumble sorta boutique amp...super dynamic dirty blues, incredible. I played one chord through it/cab and threw my money at him. He was pretty sad it see it go once he had it all setup in his studio again...it just was awesome (I'm sure a lot of it was that amp).

I can move everything car to stage in two trips. 1965+SV20 - This is the Way
