What's your limit for ticket prices? Depends on the band of course, but what's the most you would pay?

Thunder Valley, our local casino sent me an email offering pre-sale tix for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I asked the wife and she said she was game. I also checked with our good friends and they were interested too, but asked what tickets were going for. When I looked they started at $299 and they went up to $500!

My wife and friends both said "WTF?" ....followed by "Fuck That!" LOL...

I see they are sold out now. Oh well. I saw them in '89 and again in '91 on NYE (Nirvana opened)

BTW when I saw them in '89 it was $14. $27.50 for the NYE show in '91.

Anyone going to see them? What's the most you would pay for tickets?
Ticket prices are insane these days. We recently saw Crowded House and paid about $80 per ticket for pretty good seats. That seems reasonable. The only other band I would pay to see is Radiohead. Maximum price per ticket? Probably $150.

I don't know what you paid, but I went over my $500 - $600 range I mentioned in a post earlier in this thread. Oh well.

EDIT: That's for two tickets.
