Gigged Friday and the MDS was incredible. I used my old Ibanez Artist 50 with hot V2 pups and started with the highest gain voicing. (switch up pos) We opened with REO's Roll With the Changes and I needed ample gain to cover the leads. By the 3rd song I flipped on the lowest gain setting (switch middle pos) and sat there the rest of the night. With the Maxon 808 it was clear and cutting. Gain was set to 7. So many possibilities with this little tackle box sized amp. My other guitar playing took notice and he is a Marshall fan boy and builds his own amps. He's friends with Alan from Carol Anne amps who just sold one of his designs to Dr Z.

I think the gain switch sould be footswitchable... LOL
