Did not know that! Haven't seen them before even on the earlier models. I stole the idea from the SuperSonic. To me the radio knobs are easier to manipulate anyway, aside from looking more slick with the color contrast. The numbers on the panel don't get covered by the chickenhead pointer either this way. The original chickenheads are safely stored away for originality. I keep mine in Class A/B mode and put a JJ ECC832 in V2 to simmer the gain down just a tad.

High Five!
Good Golly we are related as I was going to ask you about which rectifier setting you favor , pretty wild right . I always liked the Class A right off the bat and also liked the Class AB solid state . Pretty interesting about the JJ ECC832 in V2 to simmer the gain down as you put it . Way back I tried something like that and went back to the original way . I can't remember if I was trying to juice / goose the power for more volume or something , it was another lifetime ago . The reason I switched back was I missed the gain . Funny right ?

1983 JCM800 4010, 1978 JMP2104 (have it in a Sourmash head shell), 2019 SV20H, 1960A&B cabinets, 1965A cabinet, 1966B cabinet, 2061cx cabinet. Also had a JCM600 2x12 combo at one point.

Sold the 4010 at one point because it was just like nails on a chalkboard. Had the chance to buy it back and it's like a different amp now, totally my #1 amp right now.
