KISS in talks to replace Gene & Paul !!!

I haven't bought anything KISS related since Creatures of the Night- which is a great f'n record. KISS fell off my radar a long time ago unfortunately.

    Marshall + Orange

    + 1,000,000 on the OR15. Outrageous tone!

    Help !! speakers opinion

Eminence speakers are really good. I had replaced the G12T-75's in my 1966A cab with a pair of WGS Veterans. They sounded better, but not quite there. Then, I put a pair of 12" Eminence Legends in my cab, and it sounds great. If I could pick that up for $200, it would be at my house already.

    Overpriced Mosfet

Yep, I've seen that one too. I can see pricing stuff a bit high to see if someone will bite, but this guy needs to see a doctor. He obviously hit his head pretty hard on something recently.

HOLY MOTHER... NAD... OR15 Gas satisfied

Definitely loud enough on it's own for small gigs. I have not had a chance to use it in a full band situation yet, but, people who live 6 or 7 houses down from me are very aware of the fact that I got a new amp! And of course, any amp EQ'd properly will cut through a mix. :headbanger:

HOLY MOTHER... NAD... OR15 Gas satisfied

Yep, the dark terror I think has a bit more gain than the OR15, not a bunch more like the Jim Root terror, but a noticeable amount more. The thing I don't like about the Tiny Terror, Dark Terror, and the Dual Terror is you don't get a whole lot of tonal variety with just the one "shape" control-...

HOLY MOTHER... NAD... OR15 Gas satisfied

I wouldn't have expected that either. I guess I just assumed it would be like most other 50 watters. Damn it man! Now I have ANOTHER amp I need to check out!

I just bought the Holy Grail of Marshall amps...

I haven't been on here long, but I've noticed Force is a bit of a 6100 snob. That's his amp, and most others are junk in comparison to it, in his opinion. But, in his defense, the 6100 is a very versatile amp head with some really warm, sweet tones. I had a chance to mess around with one a...

HOLY MOTHER... NAD... OR15 Gas satisfied

Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass, Gain. It's pretty simple on the OR15. Another thing I like about it. It isn't watered down with useless features or knobs that don't offer any real tone-shaping value. If you get a chance, try one. Then, we'll all get a chuckle over how "hooked" you are when you...

HOLY MOTHER... NAD... OR15 Gas satisfied

Orange is definitely a "darker" tone than Marshall, and I think that is one of the things I like about it. The Rockerverb 50 is a sweet amp. But, you almost need to get it into tooth-loosening territory in order to get the power amp tubes to warm up and shine. If you had an opportunity to...

HOLY MOTHER... NAD... OR15 Gas satisfied

Yeah, that TT15JR is a great amp too. It has a ridiculous amount of gain! I tried one and really liked it. but, the vintage voicing and wider range of the OR15 is where I was sold. Both are definitely worth a look for anyone thinking about getting a new amp. :hbang:

HOLY MOTHER... NAD... OR15 Gas satisfied

Yep, the $$$ is a bit steep, but well worth it. Not trying to promote any retailer over the other, but I've done quite a bit of business with zZounds.com over the past two and a half years (around $6,000 worth... shit, I think I may have a problem!) Their no interest- 4, 8, and 12...

HOLY MOTHER... NAD... OR15 Gas satisfied

So, I was wanting a low wattage tube amp. Gassing over the OR15 for months. But, the Blackstar HT-5RH was getting great reviews, had a handful of more features (line/MP3 in, and a headphone jack), and was quite a few rubles less. So, I figured "what the hell". When it arrived, I took it out of...

    WTB: Marshall Class 5 head

Anyone looking to unload a Class 5 head? Looking to pick up one that hasn't been mucked around with (modded). If you have one that you would like to sell, shoot me a PM with your asking price. Thanks.

    How to inspire confidence

Yep, that's an expensive doorstop. And they should ask for a refund for the 'English as a second language" course that they obviously didn't learn anything in.

Full stack of 1966 2x12's! Mass. area

Yeah, the 4x10's are actually pretty easy to find. There's at least a half a dozen of them in the used gear section on the guitar center website. They aren't all that hard to find on CL or ebay either. Now, finding someone willing to let them go for a reasonable price is another story... I just...

    I hate my DSL40C

Yep, there are some pretty good dudes over there at Sweetwater. But, in the past two years, I've given my business almost exclusively to Zzounds.com. The guys over there are awesome, and their no interest- 12 payment plans rock out loud!

    I hate my DSL40C

I too had a bad experience when I first tried a new DSL. I tried one of the DSL15 heads at the local Guitar Center. Sounded awful, no matter how it was tweaked. Plus, all of the controls didn't seem all that dynamic. Almost all the way off between 0-5, or all the way on between 5-10. Lots of...

    F***ed up ebay seller response

The biggest problem is ebay and paypal (both are basically the same company), couldn't give two f**ks less about ANY of us. As long as they get their money with the fees they charge, they really don't care. I have filed complaint after complaint against both lousy sellers and buyers over the...
