    I have JJ ECC83 and JJ KT77's. You're talking about adding an OD to the crunch to tighten it up, right? I found that channel exceptionally pleasing. Amber gives me that AC/DC crunch and the red gives me 80's metal or G&R. I really love that channel stock. Sounds like my old 800.

    I have to say I am loving channel 2 on this thing!! When I got it all I was using was channel 4 red and the high gain tone had me giggling like a schoolgirl. Well, channel 2 is giving me some killer Tool tones. If this is what an 800 and hot rodded 800 sound like, I've been missing out big time!!

    I replaced my HJS tubes with EL34's and simply adjusted to about 70mV. Now I have a set of KT77's I want to install, how do I check for plate voltage so I can do the calculation? Thanks, Pat

    I found a shop that has some Rudy EL34bht tubes. One pair has 215, one has 227 and one has 232 on the pack. Will these work? Or do I actually need to buy them in a quad set? Edit-Forget it, I'll wait until I find a matched quad. I hear Ruby's are questionable.
