    That’s why I sold my DSLs. I couldn’t take the fizz. It was thin fizz at that. I feel that if I buy a new amp, it shouldn’t require mods just to make it sound decent, except for maybe tubes.

    Great cleans with a tube driven long reverb tank and as you turn it up, it’s really dirty, almost metal. I can’t really say for sure, it’s not Marshall but close, it’s not Fender but close. It’s just a Boogie voice. Two el84’s and 4 12ax7’s. 10” vintage black shadow speaker.

    Great choices ! I use a Express 5:25 and a Mark V:35. I couldn’t be happier. I’ve given up Marshall’s all together.

    Is the DSL20 much improved over the DSL15 ?

    DSL15C vs. DSL5CR

    I’ve owned both. The 15 has a 12” speaker and a presence knob and uses 6v6’s, but if it was me, I’d probably just keep the 5. Not a whole lot of difference in sound really. Either way you can’t go wrong I don’t think.

    It’s definitely put a smile on my face. I’ve been saving and sold two Marshall’s and one Fender amp to fund it. No regrets.
