    Tuner In Jvm410hjs Effects Loop

Back when I played my HJS a lot I had a BOSS TU-2 as the first pedal in the loop and it worked fine, but I had it setup with the loop the on only for cleans and solo and I always tuned on clean.

    Matching Cab for JCM800

Well, I think (could be wrong, it was a long time ago) that would be : G12-65, G12M-70 and the G12T-75. But those G12T-75:s was built a bit different and sounded different than they do today. I have cabs with all of the above speakers and use them to taste depending on what we play.

    How reliable is the JVM410HJS?

I have had a JVM410H since 2008 or something and a JVMJS since the release and have had zero problems. Rock solid amps.

    JVM HJS, Initial Impressions

I have no idea what you are raving about, but the fact is that EVERY amp is developed using some sort of reference gear to shape the tone. In the case of the regular JVM I think (if I remember correctly) a Charvel with Tone Zone/ Fast Track and a 1960 with G12T75:s was used. (details can be...

Color of cloth on the JCM 800

I know for a fact that the JCM800 2205 I bought in the eighties was totally black (both top and cab) when it was new and faded quite quickly to the brownish color. Same thing happened to the ones my friends bought (maybe 8-10 in total) so it was definitely something going on with the grill cloth...

    thoughts on the JVM410hjs?

I have the 410H and the 410HJS and I like both, but nowadays I almost exclusively play the JS and the original sits at home as backup. As always it depends on what you are after, but to my ears and the music I play I think the JS is more versitile.

    Attenuator Amp Reliability, OMG!!!!!!!

Other than suffering from the heat caused by being switched on under a cover for an extended period of time your amp won't suffer from not having a load connected as long as you don't put a signal through it. It's usually the output transformer that will throw in the towel if anything and as...

Does your JVM JS sound like this ? Mine doesn't

One of the worst sounding JVMJS demos I've ever heard. Having both a JVM and a JS I can say that if any of them came off sounding like that I would actually be starting troubleshooting the amp.

Can the JVM410H be modded to Satriani 410 tone?

I have a JVM410 and tried a number of mods, the only one left in the amp now is the negative feedback mod (which I think is great). Anyhow, I now also have a JS version and when A/B-ing them, I couldn't get the original to sound anything like the JS, no matter how I tweaked it. But the only way...

can anyone tell me about the JVM410HJS?

Well, I'm not really sure what you want to know, but in short I have both and for me the Satch is better at everything, the original just sits there now... More dynamic, feels much better and sounds much better. Noise gates are good, miss the reverb though... But it depends very much on what...

Marshall gear you wished you hadn't modified

I have a Super PA that someone (not me) have modded to hell with some kind of "MESA-type" preamp...sounds like shit. Apparently, in the eighties, these were sought after for modding because of the extra preamp tube for extra gain stages. Frontpanel totally destroyed, but it still has the...

    JVM 410 vs JCM 800 2205 (1988)

I played a 2205 for a long time...late eighties to mid nineties, so I know that one. I have a JVM410 which I have owned since their release and tried a number of mods on, but never got it all the way, still have it though. I now have a JVM JS and for me that's a much better solution, it's not as...

Stock Marshall with a Overdrive Pedal vs. Hot Rod Marshall

The difference depends on how "the hotrodded" Marshall was modded. Most pedals are solid state, but the extra gain or overdrive in the Marshall can be achivied either through solid state or tubes.

1985 Kramer Baretta - Seymour Duncan JB. Need info.

I just opened up my Kramer Baretta reissue and as said before, the pickup has a sticker on it, labeled KRAMER 91T Made in the USA. It's supposed to be a Gibson JS-91T according to the Vintage Kramer site. Remove the sticker and I don't think there is anything there to tell you what it is, except...

    JVM410H buying advice

You can always make the choke switchable. The Plexi cap mod is easily reversed if you don't like it. The adjustable negative feedback mod can be done in a number of ways, but if it is done like it says, adjustable, then you can set it to stock value if you want. Personally I like all three mods...

Is the jvm410hjs really that much better than the jvm410h?

I have an original JVM410H which I made a number of mods to, all of them reversed now except for the negative feedback mod. I also have a JVMJS and for me it's a better amp all together. Maybe the original amp has a wider range of tones, but the JS has tons more really useful ones, is less...

    I traded my AFD100

I have a modded JVM410 and I almost bought an AFD100, but changed my mind and went for a JVM JS instead. After doing a A/B between the JS and the AFD the AFD is not needed for me anymore, the crunch channel on the JS gets close enough.

    NAD! JVM410HJSB limited!

Congrats on a nice amp:) I've got a black one a couple of weeks ago and it's a real nice amp. One question though... The standby switch on mine seems a little flubby compared to the one on my original JVM, do you expeience the same thing? Don't get me wrong, it works okay, it's just not as...

    Recommend me a Marshall

Iv'e had the JVM for a number of years and did a few mods to it over time, and eventhough it's not a bad amp my new JVMJS beats it in every department. Do yourself a favour and at least try the JS version before bying the original JVM. By the way, there are a few mods that are easy to do...

    Vintage Modern vs. JVM

If you are leaning towards the JVM, do yourself a really big favour and try the JS version before bying. I've owned a JVM for a number of years and have a few mods in it by now, but when I got the JS a couple of weeks ago there really was no competition. The JS is just better at everything a...
