    The Guitar Of Your DREAMS!

If it's allowed let's make a contest out of this. You can enter one each LP and SG style. After a week we'll vote on the winners and I'll provide a couple of prizes...like a set of strings or perhaps A NEW CAR! :fingersx:

    The Guitar Of Your DREAMS!

This is very cool and a great way to waste several hours! http://www.frankmontag.com/editors.htm This Virtual Image Modeling System allows you to create the guitar of your dreams with virtually any option you can imagine (but couldn't possibly afford!) Let's see some examples of what you can...

More Pictures from Marshall 2013 NAMM Booth (lots of pics)

Those appear to be air brushed not stitched and that's an easy "do". Even if it is stitched it ain't nothing but money.

    Between these Fender American Stratocasters...

While on-line prices are indeed lower, it's been my experience that most stores will match any advertised price on-line. I have several Stratocasters and they are all different. Since you're "not a Strat player" you really need to sit down and play both.

    Coolest Man Cave Addition EVER!

I decided long ago that I would rather have some money tied up in musical equipment than in CDs at .8%.

    Coolest Man Cave Addition EVER!

Ya'll made me feel so bad about posting here without actually owning a real Marshall amp that I went out today and bought a DSL40C. It's actually bigger (heavier) than I was looking for but it was only a little more than the DSL15. I'm gonna go warm it up and rattle some windows! OK... now...

I just do not get it.

Just to illustrate that no matter how flat you make a pancake it still has two sides, I don't understand why folks pay huge premiums for a "hand-wired" Marshall. It's my opinion that the considerably higher price tag is a result not of better quality but a function of high wages paid to an...

I just do not get it.

I appreciate and respect your assessment and in that scenario I could probably understand Sting having Fender CS make him a couple of copies. If any of my guitars have a mark on them, and regrettably some do, I was there when it happened whether I did it or not. They say the first scratch is a...

I just do not get it.

Now you're talkin' industrial strength stupid! I remember walking into the local GC and there nestled among the shiny new Strats was a ratty looking POS! I asked the salesman why an abused guitar was on the same shelf with these new instruments. He looked at me like I just grew another head and...

I'd Like Some Help Choosing a Marshall

I'm looking to ad a Marshall amp to my collection. I've been a Fender guy since my first Twin Reverb in 1965 but as I said in another thread, no collection would be complete without a Marshall. The problem is that I know nothing about them. I have plenty of big, loud and powerful amps. I'm...

    Coolest Man Cave Addition EVER!

Of course you can't have a collection without a Marshall amp. I have several Fender amps that are great but I couldn't "hump" them anywhere anymore! I've been looking locally for a smaller more portable amp and I'd appreciate your opinion on the following. MG 250 DFX Valvestate VS265 Haze...

    Coolest Man Cave Addition EVER!

Micky, The Bose L1 model II is an amazing PA. The line array is the way to go but with the Tone Match system it really excells at amplifying an acoustic guitar with a pup like my Martin 000-28EC. Rick

I just do not get it.

I have about forty guitars. Quite a few are custom shop guitars but all of them are 'top shelf" instruments. While I don't plan or retiring on them I do look at then as investments... a bunch better than a .8% CD! However, I don't buy retail, I look for well cared for previously owned guitars at...

    Coolest Man Cave Addition EVER!

I apologize, I'm new here so I didn't get the "don't irritate Micky with another fridge thread" memo. These just started shipping in January so I thought some folks might like to see one in it's natural environment. It seems most did or at least they were welcoming and gentlemanly enough not to...

    Coolest Man Cave Addition EVER!

Micky, I'm not the least bit embarrassed though I can see why you might be. You're focusing your disgust on a $300.00 fridge when there's a $11,000.00 Les Paul Ultima leaning on it. You should set your sights a little higher my friend. ;)

    Coolest Man Cave Addition EVER!

Quasar, The 1959 Hammond is a M3 , referred to as the "Baby B". Sounds like a B3 but doesn't have the full bass pedals. The piano is a Rhodes 73 Suitcase model and of course there is a Leslie! Mine is the new 3300.
