I have a SM57 for close micing my guitar cabs. I have to admit I record nowadays using a Mooer Radar Cabsim pedal to do the job. I use either my DSL1CR's send out straight into the Radar, and for bassduties I use a SansAmp Bassdriver DI straight into the Mooer...... Yeah cheating I know, but it...
I have a DSL1CR, and never use the emulated out, as it is not worth listening to. Instead I use the FX send into a Mooer Radar cab emulator. A solution which will set you back around $ 150,=. This way it is convincing. And: you can load your own IR's in the Radar!
From the Radar I go straight...
I have mine floating, just because of the feel. Don't know if it is better, but like it like this.
I have 3 to 4 mm spacing at the rear end of the bridge.
Yes, I'm seeing 56 coming winter, and I have two tennis elbows and a frozen left shoulder. It hurts when I play longer then an hour. I feel it all the time I play though.
Sometimes my frozen shoulder hurts so much, I can't play at all and often I cannot ride my motorbike. That's the thing with...
You could consider a device like this: https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_fxl8_pro.htm?ref=intl&shp=eyJjb3VudHJ5IjoiZ2IiLCJjdXJyZW5jeSI6IjQiLCJsYW5ndWFnZSI6ImVuIn0%3D
Basicly it turns a conventional pedalboard into a programmable pedalboard. With this one you can use the 4 cable method...
I have my very own homestudio. I play mostly alone. I have a DSL1CR and a Fender '73 SF Champ. In the evening hours I use a Mooer Radar to play with cans.......
I use to play bass in bands for 30 yrs, but I do not want to do that anymore.
Clean bluesy homeplaying? A fender Champ 5 watt amp of course!!!! And for sure an old one like a silver- or blackface!!!!
You rule out Fender? For clean tones this is a go to. I have both a DSL1CR and a '73 Silverface Fender Champ - to cover most of tones.......
For the price of an attenuator you can buy a DSL1CR combo which sounds great at bed room volume - as it is made for this........ I have one and love it, and BTW I use it at 0,1 watt setting.
Never played them, but looked at it last winter. Eventually I bought a DSL1CR -which is of course more expensive. I liked the idea of a mini tubeamp combo! Now it lives with my Fender '73 Silverface Champ, and with the two and some FX pedals I have a wide array of sounds.
I use Beyer Dynamic DT 770 Pro, and like them for comfort and sound. But I rather play guitar without them though, but if I have too late in the night they do the job!!!!!
Hello - welcome!!!! The wind Cries Mary was played as far as I know on a Fender amp........ But that aside, one can play it as he/she likes it. Don't kill me for this info if I'm wrong though!
A marshall and a Fender happilly live next to each other, I have a small 4 watt '73 SF Champ next to a...
I have to say progress is made...... Kemper sounds really good, as a friend of mine has and uses one - I heard it many times and it is close to spot on, but: I love my little tube amps better for their organic and harmonic warm sound, just as my pedals on my pedalboard. Just an opinion, and I'm...
I'd go Deluxe Reverb, beautifull amps - portable and loud enoughto do most gigs with it's pure 22 watts!!!! I have a DSL1 and and a '73 SF Champ for the same reasons - to complement each other with my strat!!!!!!
