i like to sleep around :)
It works well in many ways and it also fails in many ways. Luckily we're on the better side of it :fingersx:
well i have a hang up with money....well everything that it involves, just let your imagination go wild and 9 times out of 10 you will be right about everything it causes.
anyway i do like spending my money on stuff that to me is worth it: marshalls, guitars, food. that's it.

"The inherent vice of capitalism is the uneven division of blessings, while the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal division of misery."

- Sir Winston Churchill

I love that man.

I believe he was the last true Englishman of his kind.

Adam Smith is also a great man and neo-liberalists like Thatcher and Reagan didn't pay attention to his critique on oblique markets.

Even now we believe our system of capitalism will support social obligations. In fact it doesn't support it well enough. It does well enough if you're on the good side though. But for many the shortcomings of it can affect their lives deeply, hence the sheer hate of Margaret Thatcher in the UK. Then we had Labour for many years and they have truly wrecked us in so many ways, .. but that's for another thread.... :naughty:

"Tax the rich, feed the poor, til there are no rich no more"

To be fair and equitable everyone must be equally miserable. this regime is surely working on that

Question: Since they hunt down Gibson, why don't the raid the factories of other companies that use "precious" woods in their instruments? PRS and Martin to name a few.....

Martin guitars is based out of Nazareth Pennsylvania and Chairman and CEO Christian Frederick Martin IV is a supporter and contributor of the current President. That is why.

you've got it partially wrong nuke, he just said we should be able to get a good product at least, not pay a small fortune extra for a decent guitar..it's not a crime to make money, but it's a cheap move to take us for granted by selling low quality stuff for big money just because they've got a name behind them

Fair enough, but when you have people at a factory here in the US making $20+ and hour and all the taxes and regulation costs Gibson has to pay to produce each guitar what is it you think the guitar should cost?

What I am saying is its not fair to say Gibson is gouging consumers when you and I are not privileged to seeing their books, it is an assumption and an opinion at best, thats all.

Look we can argue Gibson quality at another time, there are topics all over the net talking on this. I own a couple of very nice Historic LPs and have never had a single issue with quality. Are they work the 4k+ I paid, no they are not. However my Les Paul's sound great and NO other guitar will retain its value better then a Les Paul for resale.

Look even Marshall has had to outsource to Vietnam, India and China to stay competitive. The fact is if those amps were made in the UK they would be much more money. I am willing to pay the extra money for my UK amps and don't say they are gouging me.

How about tax everyone the same percentage and let the good people of this country feed the poor when they knock on your door or through the churches and communities. I cannot tell you what I see in grocery carts on the 3rd of every month around here. The poor are eating well and then some.

Before any of you jump me make sure you know math, 20% of a million dollars is much more then 20% of $40,000

I don't get it...they never gave a shit about American Indian rights and laws, but Indians thousands of miles away and IT'S JUST FUCKING WOOD!! that they have bought and imported correctly. What are they saying...it has to go back to india for "finishing", when it's been sold as unfinished wood. :wtf: are these fools talking about

haha! good stuff!

It's a 50th anniversary Version 2 reissue 1960. Thanks for liking it! you got a pic of yours?

Yeah I like Harley's, Xbox, Gibson, Fender, PRS, Apple stuff (I know it's manufactured elsewhere but designed in the US), Dominos etc..... hollywood...

There's so many good things about trading culture and goods... but some people just get hung up on trivial negative stuff!

Well, that's a beautiful guitar ... bet she sounds just as great as she looks!

Yeah, I'm going to step out and grab a bite to eat (take out), but when I get home I'll go through a few of the pictures I've taken and upload one or two to photobucket to share with you ... I've had her since January, but haven't shared a picture yet (well, aside from my screen name picture of the headstock)... I guess this will be her public debut haha.

Come on.......we all now that Gibson has become more of a lifestyle brand than a traditional guitar company.Gibson in my opinion focuses on customers who want a les paul just to show off their new purchase.Just to have a "Gibson" product. And im sure most people here in this forum have met persons saying "WOW man!!He has a Gibson!!!He is awesome!!!" There are countless people with this attitude. It's like high fashion.....you pay 5000 for a suit where the 4.900 are for the brand name

Are you serious. You do know that tone matters right. I know there are a-holes that think that way but I can assure you that my Les Paul's are a critical tool in the studio. I think many other professional recording artists would agree with that.

Watch the response from those who live in England.

I like Lord Monckton. But he is being crucified by most over there. He is spot on about the "green" movement.

Gibson has given money in donations to the republican party...
Guess who PRS has given donations to??
I would give up the next year of my life to go ahead and get rid of these idiots now, before they absolutely ruin everything we have. I do have hope in the fact that it looks like we will be rid of his dumbass next year

Are you familiar with Jeremy Clarkson LFH?. If there was anyone who sums up the way I feel about most (not all) things it's him. :)
