Someone whom is a marshall dealer said it was due to surplus inventory created when a large retailer cancelled an order.

Coincidentally, Sam Ash does not show any of these on their website...

They have been sitting on these for a while. The one I got was made in 2015 so maybe they are just clearing out old stock. I had a problem with the one I received and the sw rep said they are gettng more monday, and reserved me a replacement so they are not gone yet.

Sweetwater rep emailed me today "discontinued by Marshall". Last shipment comes in next week.

They have come out with an all black one...it is on Anderton's website...maybe silver discontinued???

More likely a limited edition. Marshall seems to be a fan of milking a model # with different cosmetics these days.
