I actually watched this thread as it first started and finished and let me say it was definitely amazing. Ceri worked wonders with that body.

Yeah, it´s incredible! Did some work on my Franken-Lead that meant filling and routing the trem-cavity. Went well but doesn´t come close to what Ceri did. I actually got inspired to some day do a complete guitar from scratch. Have most of the tools and machines.

:) Isn't Ceri the Guy from Israel that build that EXACT '59 Les Paul replica from scratch? He is fucking amazing.

made it all the way through. page 91 includes an abbreviated photohistory (out of like 500 pictures) of the entire process

I just finished the thread. It took 2 days to absorb. Fricken amazing detailed work and what a great read. Ceri is the man. I feel accomplished just setting my intonation. But this work was extremely A++.

Why would you go to all that work to repair that old Strat body ??
You can buy replacement bodies for reasonable prices these days .....


please don't get me wrong ....that guy does incredible work !! !!

I was thinking the same thing HT, but I guess the answer is, because it can be done and would be enjoyable to do just for the sake of it.
But ya, could have made one from scratch much easier.
Amazing job though! What an incredible craftsman.
