I've built a few FX pedals , the most recent was a BYOC digital delay and it works and sounds great , it has more of a warm analog sound to it . It's a satisfying feeling to build something :fingersx: and have it work :thumb:

i built a 2x12 with two greenbacks weighing in at 80lbs (36kg) :eek2:.

cost me the speakers, wire, jacks, handles, feet/bumpers, and some time.
i'm swapping the greenbacks for higher wattage speakers.
cranked my 2204 puts out around 90W:Ohno: i cooked one greenback very quickly.

===
with the help of my brother TradAmpGuy we built a 1Wattish FireFly (self split push-pull).

it sounds like a cranked Marshall at bedroom levels. lots of crunchy goodness. i freakin love this amp.
i want to fix/mod my JCM 2204. it sounds stale compared to the FireFly.
maybe a PPIMV :hmm:

===
i swapped out the dirty Op-amps for some Hi-Fi ones in my GE-7 EQ.
also swapped 7 capacitors to help with tone while on, as well as buffered.
now instead of a hiss box, i have a pedal i can actually use!

next build is a Echoplex pre-amp stomp box :naughty:
I want one:D A fire fly with someboost and tight switches and such would be sweet:naughty" ;)

how good are your with a soldering iron diesect? the schematic for it is here.
note the output legs are wrong. it is 2&4 NOT 2&5! for 8ohm output and 1&4 for 16ohm (15).
if your not good with an iron i could possibly help you via PM :hmm:

i ditched C8 as many complained it made the amp dark. also i like a .022 for
a coupling capacitor (C2) vs the stock .0022. the .0022 had no bottom end when
the boost (V1) was enabled. now it sounds huge and crunchalicious :naughty:

This is pretty much all I've done.......convert the 401 to a head instead of a combo. Had my father in law spray it with Rhino Lining. I fashioned the upper rear grille to the front, lower rear grille to the back, and appointed it with some chrome. The chain is a bit much, but gives it an aggressive appearance. ;)

Added ports for extra ventilation and for access to the bias points and trimpot (Marshall should have been emasculated for this one!):

i'm more apt to mod or repair but, if i get the money i may do that:D I would LOVE that.

I'm in horrid health too so a lot of times i can't even work on my own amps. something that small is more plausible though for sure. I've been thinking about moding my VOX NT mini. and once my warranty's up i may tinker with the new H&K tubemeister to add some pick attack brightness and add a hi pass filter or something.

Lols, thanks. I try not to shove it in everyone's face, but it did turn out pretty killer.

I did everything with either a jigsaw, handsaw, palm sander or drill. However, shooting the material onto the box does take the specialized equipment. if I ever do it again, I'll do something different probably.

Do effects pedal kits count??

Otherwise I built this cab for an epiphone amp. I also made the rectangle one underneath it for a different amp. I had modded the epiphone, just some caps and a bigger OT.

I also made a couple of pedalboards. They are sprayed with rhino lining like Thrawn's amp.

The bottom cab was for this amp.

I think I posted some of this on another thread a long time ago.

yeah! Why not man? I'd count ANYTHING someone put any thought or time into with regard to their rigs including their setup honestly. building a rig in general.

I'm a gear NUT so i love this stuff. :)

Well then, here are some shots of pedal kits that I have done. I modded a couple, simple stuff like changing a cap value for more low end or a resistor for more or less gain.
