VERY good idea for a post!

#3 has it for me.
There was some nice clarity in #2, but it was a bit too harsh.
#1 with a bit more low end would have been good.
#4 very close to the win as well.

ohh i guess my impatient self didn't see that. in that case my guess is:

JVM
Valvestate
JCM800
JCM900

The JVM is drenched in mids in every clip I've heard, and the 800 just has that classic sound to it.
