    The base looks like a Psvane tube. I grabbed a set of psvane EL 34s, they're decent tubes. I tried them for a night and rolled my stock Marshall's back in. I didn't feel like waiting for the Psvanes to burn in.

    Do power cords matter?

    I bought a Tripplite isolated medical grade power source, the 4 outlet box you see on ekg carts. They use them for slot machines as well. It worked good once a grounded it to the plumbing.
