I totally agree. It's my amp if I'm jamming with friends etc. I use my Marshalls mainly for home and recording. I can't easily replace them but the kitana sounds great and isn't a bank buster. I should clarify that they can sound good out of the box depending on the tone you're after. The tone...
I got one and absolutely hated it. I questioned all the hype and if people were going tone deaf lol.
Hooked it up to the pc and dialed in some very usable tones. I don't like the stock sound of them but when you edit them to your preference it's a whole new ball game. They're are extremely...
The crate gx 130c is a hidden gem. Very similar to an ampeg vh140c tonally. I recorded with one within the last year and was pleased with the results. Crate hate is a shame. When I try out an amp i try to see if I can do the amp justice. If you watch really good players they can make the so...
I have a tsl60 and an slx. They definitely have a different mojo. The tsl has more gain on tap but if you are boosting it that really probably don't matter. The 6505 is a different beast all together. It can get you from metal to death metal without question. Boosting it and you may rapture lol...
Oh I do use them for recording and when I'm playing at home. I have some vintage amps that are in good condition and I'm trying to keep them that way. But rest assured they ARE used. I use the Kitana for quick jams when friends want to hang out and mess around.
Not sure if it's been mentioned but the Kempers value will most likely decrease where as a plexi will hold it's value. That being said if the kemper does what you need I'd still consider it. I have 5 different marshall amps and regularly use a boss kitana out of convenience and the fact that if...
They can be versatile depending on how you dial them in. Be careful with the treble as it can get shrill if you're not careful. I've seen all kinds of different players using them with good results. Hope it works out for you. :dude:
This is a really good pick up imo. I've got the 8200 (same amp but has chorus on it) It does 80s 90s metal pretty well and using a boost can yield some good results. I hope you enjoy it. :jam:
