Black Flag JTM45/100 Build and Schemo

There was a couple of guys who built some fairy accurate Super 100 builds over at the now archived Metro Amp. Should be some extra info there for sure. One Black Flag proj I can recall came out really good and even had the higher voltage. I have the Dickinson mod 45/100 in a Ceriatone build that...

    Any value on Old Caps?

Who are these "creative people? sounds like a good use of the Daly outer sleeve and a great way to preserve the visual aspect of a 2203/4 innards. Love to hear about that!🤘

What do you think will the marshall valve amp die?

A quad of Tung Sol reissue 6550's last week was $162, and now $199 at Sweetwater, $229 elsewhere. Many outlets already listing as Out Of Stock

How to find a Marshall parts supplier in or near Thailand?

You could check with Nik, of Ceriatone. His stuff is mostly classic style repro's, but excellent. He's in your region of the world(Malaysia?) and might cut loose a few parts.

Asking For Opinions From Little Evidence: JTM Super PA

Barter it down as low as you can. She doesn't look too bad and you'll have fun getting her in proper shape. Some of the best tones I ever had was on my modded/de-modded 67 PA head. Wish I'd never let it go.

    Blackmore's Majors

I've seen every DP tour with RB since 1970 and the only volume issues I ever had was from those era-bleeding, Tychobrae PA cabs they used from 71 thru 75 for U.S. dates. As for Lords C3 Hammond, the frequencies produced from those keys into Marshall's, as with Keith Emerson of ELP, could really...

Did Hendrix ever run a JTM w/JMP heads?

I love the single "Valley's Of Neptune"...like hearing him greet us from beyond. technically challenging, brilliant, mystical. Even from the grave he continues to influence. He probably meant that literally!

Did Hendrix ever run a JTM w/JMP heads?

Well, this thread was never meant to be an argument about what amp Hendrix was playing at Monterey but you're resident 45/100 guy seems to have determined that what has been accepted in the field is incorrect, and in doing so helped me determine the answer to my original query: That Jimi in fact...

Did Hendrix ever run a JTM w/JMP heads?

Beats the heck outta' me, but you're the resident MKIII guy here. All I know is, his cleans at Monterey are a little hard for KT66's, at least to my ears and when I first read about the "Black flag" at the legendary festival it made sense to me. Now I don't know what to think but I'm still...

Did Hendrix ever run a JTM w/JMP heads?

The footage is in the Monterey DVD as Jimi's leaving the stage. Stop frame analysis has made it a given amongst experts. I only have the VHS but I'll try and scare up some links, here's something for now under "Black Flag", just info.JTM45/100

Did Hendrix ever run a JTM w/JMP heads?

I genuinely appreciate your input concerning Jimi's use of the JTM 45 100. Although it was his initial amp for recording and through his extensive UK performances, it was discovered by high def imagery that Jimi in fact had one, more likely two "Black Flag" JTM 100's at Monterey.

Did Hendrix ever run a JTM w/JMP heads?

I do appreciate the Aracom site history you've provided. Jimi was of course known to use a wide variety of JTM 100 watt heads, starting in 66 with the JTM 45 100 and later at Monterey with "Black Flag" JTM 100's. I just want to find proof that he teamed any EL34 based JTM 100 watt head, the...

Did Hendrix ever run a JTM w/JMP heads?

I'm talkin' actual photo or tech note/quotes. Obviously at some point this had to have occurred and I feel it of importance enough to try and determine when or where. If you think you can spot this with high def or by eye, please chime in!

Earliest examples of custom color tolex?

Yes, thank you, this is what I have also heard, white tolex as early as 65 and it makes sense that purple wasn't far behind, in keeping with the psychedelic or "swirly" UK music/fashion scene.:hippie:
