Is a 1998 Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50 worth keeping?

Had a JCM 2000 50 watt for over 20 years- great sound on green chanbel crunch mode. Not long sold a JMP 2203 100 watt 😱😱😱😱 best amp I ever heard/played but JCM 2000 is a close contender.

    Recommend Me Some Australian Bands

Odyssey Number Five is a brilliant album - Waiting For The Sun and My Kind Of Scene are first class songs. Seen them live in Scotland years ago - fantastic live act aswell. Seen The Church here twice on their last 2 visits - waited almost 30 years to see them - worth the wait.

    Who influenced you?

Hey Bubba, have to agree with you. JJ Burnel + Hugh Cornwell were a formidable partnership. Never been as keen on the Stranglers since Cornwell left but i think Baz Warne does a good job. John McGeoch and Robert Smith are very underrated too. i also like Billy Duffys playing circa Love.

    Combos: 2000 or 900.

I'd keep the 2000. I've owned both (50 watt heads) and i think the 2000 is a far better sounding amp. i never really got on with the 900 series. Not saying its a bad amp-just wasn't for me. Think about getting a 1x12 extension cab your amp.
