Quick Question EL34s Pin #1 in Marshall Style Amps
If you are looking for a way to secure the resistor you could use an insulated standoff that is also one of the fasteners for the tube socket. I have used this in Fender circuits but it could just as easily be used in your application. This is not my amp.- Dblgun

I'm not real up on your HG Plexi so don't know what kind of voltages are present. I would guess that if original with EL84's it is cathode biased and voltages are moderate. JJ's are not my favorite 6V6 but they are more tolerant of higher voltages than most any other 6v6. The reason for this is...- Dblgun

2204 transformer hum
Along with all things already mentioned, it couldn't hurt to take a look at the grid resistor (5.6k P5) on V4. It looks to be laying right over the filament wiring. Check that the positioning and connection on both V4/V5 are solid.- Dblgun

What’s up with this super lead?
Sure, biasing it at 25w shouldn't really hurt anything if you like the way that it sounds biased there. I would think at around 430v you would be looking for about 35-40ma. Set your pot for most negative and adjust from there. I can't really see color code on those resistors "tacked" in there on...- Dblgun
