For that price, I expect that they would conquer the world and then he would need the Terminator to save us.
Don't underestimated them, they can tune themselves in different tunings:shock:.
Seriously, what the hell. Are nowadays guitarist that bad that they can use a tuner pedal?
Well, I'm just guessing so you better wait for other opnions.
But first I remember correctly I think I've seen ball end nylon, strings.
Ernie Ball | Products
This is just an example. And even if you can't find a ball ended classical strings, you can always tie a node on a side of a normal...
Moose hit the bullseye.
Effect pedals aren't suppose to make a bad tone sound good. They're made just to be added in the right spot of a tune.
I'm also of the opinion that there should always a vast range of pedal choices, so that I can choose we to add a little something in a certain part of...
Thanks tubes.
You're right I already wanted a Regenerator, I just wanted to know your opinion.
I'm just a beginner you see, so when I said get acquainted with different modulation effects, I meant that being I a beginner I want to hear how each effect sounds like, to see if I can do something...
That's right.
If we just stick to Marshall we're missng a whole lot of great different sounds.
Sticking with one amp would be the same that just listening to one band all your life.:(
True.
Edge from U2 is a good exemple of a guy who wouldn't play shit without his effects, you don't want to follow his example.
The number players who rely too much on effects is growing.I think.
Anyway, a good example of effect's usage is Jimi Hendrix for example. He sound awesome with his...
Well Alt Freak, I think that even if you love Marshall alot you it's good to broaden you horizons, everyone should.
I'm still beginning in the music buisiness, but after I get myself a true Marshall, I'll sure try some Fender's,Vox's, Hiwatt's amps among others.
Yeah, I think that's way David Gilmoure sometimes used them. Because they had powerful clean but they weren't to overdrien.Kinda not as clean as Fender's amps or Vox's amps but not has distorted as Marshall amps.
I mean for pure rock and roll and blues you just need a guitar and a good amp.
But there's no way around it if you want to give a tune a different feel you need some effects. But remember first the straight in the amp sound, then the effects.
Nice post man!
Anyway, just a question tubes.
Do you think that Regenerator is a good pedal for me to get acquainted with different modulation effects?
I mean I'm not hoping for it to be the best pedal ever, I just think it is a good pedal to start from. What do you think?
Thanks for the advices. It complemented the info on theire site.
Maybe I'll try the pure nickel sometime.
So if steel is more magnetic that nickel, maybe the pure nickel ones are slightly darker in tone?
But maybe like Adwex said, maybe the difference isn't that noticeable?
Anyway between the...
I also think is better to make your own. I mean I don't have one yet cause I don't gig and don't have enough pedals anyway.
But your pedal board is a personal thing and pedal board brands don't know what's best for you.
Just search it in this forum or in the net.
Yeah I've been reading stuff in theire site FAQ. Thanks for the link.
But I was kinda looking for people's opinions. Just to see in which types of music people use them.
Hi there.
Yeah, I'm just another guy trying to improve my tone. So I think I found a gauge that I like so next I'll move to the strings materials.
I've choosen Ernie Balls as my main strings brand, my question is: for those of you who are familiar with Ernie Balls, could you tell me the...
Agree. When the music is produced based around effects it almost always sounds a little cheap.
The tune must sound good straight in the amp and the the effects are just to add a different feel.
Well, at best it's just funny that nowadays you can make a song without knowing shit about music.
To me it just gets old too fast, I can listen to a rap/hip hop song for very much. The lyrics may be something, but the music doesn't cut it.
On the other hand, some may say that blues is...
I like seperate pedals because multi-fx tend to have less quality effects. Well that can be biased, but in the end it's a matter of preference.
Another thing is that in my opinion multi-fx is better for heavy effects, and by heavy I mean those players who base theire tone around various kinds...
I always thought that musicians tend to be more open-minded that teh average people.
What's even stranger is that people who enjoy music spend more time arguing about politics which must be one of the most boring things human's have invented than just chilling out and teaching and learning from...
