    5903E - 50th Anniversary Eko - 100W Half-Stack

Nice! But: What does that even say? Super quality components or just buzzwords to say that it's limited?

Help me find a replacement for my dimarzio x2n!

I've actually listened to the samples. The tone zone had a live clip, so there's that... A bit better than the "dry" samples from the SD website. Right now, I'm leaning towards rhe sh-5 sd custom. I forgot to tell you though that we play a whole step tuned down. DGCFAD. I've also looked at...

Help me find a replacement for my dimarzio x2n!

Well... The tone zone sounds really good and I'm leaning towards that right now.

Help me find a replacement for my dimarzio x2n!

I'm using a LTD EC-400vf with a DiMarzio X2N in the bridge position (SD '59 in neck pos.). It originally came with a SD JB but the guy I bought it from changed that to the X2N. So, what about the guitar? It's a mahogany body with a maple top. Neck is mahogany with a rosewood fretboard...

Calling 6100 owners : no sound when FX loop set2 Serie

Even if the jacks are faulty? (I'm sorry if I'm beating a dead horse right now and even derailing the thread but I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly. This is a beast of a schematic so I might be wrong.) My question was simply if the jacks switching was faulty, so that in...

Calling 6100 owners : no sound when FX loop set2 Serie

I know you shouldn't have to but I was thinking if the jacks are dirty/broken and therefore their switching function fails; THEN you would need to jumper the loop. Right? (not sarcastic, just trying to understand this thing).

Calling 6100 owners : no sound when FX loop set2 Serie

I was thinking that the jacks are switchable. Although I was too lazy to look at the schematic. (according to this schematic they are switched jacks).

Calling 6100 owners : no sound when FX loop set2 Serie

Have you tried patching the loop (chord between send and return) in series mode? If the jacks are worn out maybe they're always "open" and therefore the signal doesn't get from the pre amp to the power amp... I don't know if this is likely but it seems possible (to me at least!).

    Dunlop 535 Wah Issue

This might not be what you're after but... I remember hearing that changing the capacitor at the wiper of the pot (from 0.22uF) to a 1uF non polar would somehow simulate an ICAR taper. Obviously changing a cap in a cap-resistor combo is going to change the frequency response but I'm not...

Behringer Pedals - Why So Inexpensive?

I have a Behringer tuner (TU-300 I think it's called). I use it at home (connected to the dry out of my whammy 4) and it does what it's supposed to but I haven't put it to the test by lugging it around. After reading reviews online I think I might be lucky because it seems these are of quite...

How you justify your multi amps ownership?

I "only" own a 2203 and a 6100. I live in an apartment so the 2203 doesn't get much play time (I have a 5w amp for home use) but the 6100 is in the rehearsal space and get "aired out" regularly. When I bought them I reasoned that I would never sell them and I might as well get them while I had...

    Recommend me a Marshall

I came here to make sure you don't miss the 6100. If you're looking for versatility I'd say it's that or a JVM. The DSL is really popular and there is a lot of info about how to mod/tweak them into beasts! I haven't played a DSL (stock or modded) but there are alot of sound samples and...

New Rig Month: 1959, 4x12, attenuator

That's such a sweet set up. The les paul is beautiful and so are the amp and cab! I've only seen videos on the rock crusher but I was quite intrigued. I think the reason attenuators get a bad rep is that people think they can dime the master and attenuate it down to basically headphone...

Which marshall valve on a budet?

Never played a Bugera but haven't heard good things about them (reliability issues for most parts). What i came here to say is that if you buy a second hand tube amp you should be prepared to retube the thing pretty soon. So you might want to add that to the budget. I think your money should be...

    Will I be Ex-communicated?

Just dropped in to say how glad you made me with that comment! A lot of people go on and on how everything solid state is just crap and the MG series have taken a good 'ol bashing on more than one occasion. (Ever been to ultimate-guitar? Man I miss tabcrawler...). I love the valvestates and if...

Which was your FIRST tube amp?

My first tube amp was a used 2203 from '89 (still have it!). Then I got a 6100. Quite a step up from:

    amp recommendations....need some guidance

Yep. Although they are 100w marshalls you can get a good "bedroom level" sound from it due to the many choices and the low volume compensation. It's a beast of versatility. The MG you are referring to is a solid state amp (so is your valvestate). This means you get pretty much the same sound...

Question about adding an Effects Loop

Well, I'm no expert in any way but after a quick google search I couldn't find a schematic. Without it I don't think anyone really can give you any steady pointers. There are kits available ( Zero-Loss FX Loop Kit - $95.00 : MetroAmp, Amplifier Kits and Parts Online Store for example)...

6100LM owners...have you had this problem?

I had this problem (non LM version though). One of my trimmers for adjusting the channel levels was stuck so I used a screwdriver, some cleaning spray and some force and when it came loose it all came to life. So yeah, check those trimmers. Good luck!
