Put the CH-5 in the loop before the Carbon Copy. IMHO Chorus is better in the loop. Plus you can quickly activate/deactivate both quickly being side by side. I run my chorus in the loop right before delay and reverb, works and sounds great that way IMHO.
Picked up a new pedal (I don't do new gear day threads), the Caline Santa Carla Boost. Couldn't pass it up since it's a nod to The Lost Boys movie. Never had an actual clean boost before, so it is a nice addition. Seems to work and sound great. Plus the graphics glow in the dark. I couldn't fit...
If it is one of the early Origins without the speaker jack fix you can only run either 1x16ohm cab or 1x8ohm cab. You can't run 2 at the same time. If you try to plug into both 8 ohm jacks only one cab will work. Once the fix is done then the 2x8 ohm jacks become either 1x8ohm or 2x16 ohm jacks...
They really aren't that bad looking of a guitar. The thing that I think would make them look much better is if they ditched the pickguard. IMHO the pickguard just doesn't go well at all with the guitar design. Also a Floyd would fit it better as well IMHO. They also need more solid color options.
That's pretty cool. I'm also a fan of the Widow headstock so IMHO those are cool and definitely a cool 80's classic design. Being a big W.A.S.P./Blackie Lawless fan since I was a kid in the 80's, I'm a little partial to it.
I say change them back to black, they look better IMHO. I'm just not a fan of gold covers at all. I don't even like how they look on a black Les Paul Custom. The gold hardware looks great but the gold covers have to go for double black open coils. I feel the same with chrome covers as well. I...
@TS Schecter usually uses either Grover or their own Schecter branded tuners. I'd just try and buy the same brand in locking.
For the past 30 some years I do 1 wrap on wound strings and 2 wraps on the plain strings. I never have any slippage of the strings on the post or tuning issues with a...
I also prefer 2 1x12 cabs over a 2x12. I also got rid of my last 4x12 several months back. I just prefer a pair of 1x12's. I think it's because they are each in their own space that makes them sound better to my ears. One thing I wouldn't mind trying is a 2x12 with only one speaker and the other...
Love the looks of the 80's V's and explorer's without pickguards. I hate pickguards. Out of the 2 I'd go for the Explorer without hesitation. It has a trem and a solid paint color, though I prefer a Floyd. I'm not a fan of the trans finish and top on the V. Doesn't realy matter though because...
