    Dsl40cr Vs. Dsl20cr ....

I thought the opposite. I've had 100 watt heads that were heavier than the 40CR (Mesa). I was pleasantly surprised with the weight.

    2018 Dsl 40cr Full Review...

I'm not upset, I just find it funny. I think I'm saving up for a Mini Jubilee head and cab. Didn't like the combo but I can tell it would sound great with a nice closed back cab.

    2018 Dsl 40cr Full Review...

Funny how people speculate about things before knowing the facts. IMO, the DSL40CR is the best affordable amp on the market today. The 20HR will be in my stable soon as well.

    Satriani Leaves Marshall-hjs ?

I was kidding. I just came off a long stint of modelling. Fractal, Kemper , Helix, it was a fun couple years but I was never 100% happy. If I was still gigging it might be a different story since these new floor units are the perfect live rig, but since I only play at home now I want to hear the...

    Satriani Leaves Marshall-hjs ?

    They both suck!

I'm OD1, gain at 6, Volume at 5, TS with drive on zero, level on 10, tone at 4.5. Just slays with the new tubes.

I was thinking that and almost bought the Marshall 212 cab but bought a new guitar instead.:dude: Old school looking shredder! Now I have to learn to shred!:jam:

There was a guy over on TGP that recommended the EHX/Tungsol combo so I went that route since it's what I had available to me. I swapped them at lunch so I only had a half hour of playing time. I couldn't switch from OD1 (gain at 6) because the difference was killer. I found the top end a little...

I put an EHX in V1, a Tungsol in V2 and V3 and another EHX in V4, these are all short plates (about 14-15mm plate to plate). Man, I didn't really know tubes can make that much of a difference!! Low end is tighter and high end is a hair more subdued. It sounds incredible!! I was going to order an...

    Nad! Marshall Dsl40cr

I agree. I was reading a Mini Jubilee thread and started to doubt my decision to buy the 40CR. I went to the store and demo'd the MJ combo today and my DSL sounds better to me. Probably the small cab had a lot to do with it. I was full on ready to return the DSL and plop another $800 (Canadian)...

    Dsl40cr Tube Swap Recommendations!!

Looking for some recommendations on which tubes I should throw in my 40CR and where. These are all I have available to me at this time so only choosing from this list. Let me know which and why. Not looking to do anything in particular as I like the sound but if it can get better, well...

Just got tired of the sound through FRFR. I wanted the amp through a guitar speaker again.

Ya, it's not too bad. Last time I played amps I was lugging a 410HJS head and 412 cab around, this combo is light!!:dude: Wish the 20H had the same features as the 40CR, I'd have went that route.

    Dsl40cr Midi And Channel Access

After reading it again maybe you can switch between modes. It says the amp channels are mapped to every 4 PC values, that would be the four available channels I think?? If you figure it out tomorrow let me know, I have an L6 HXFX that I'd like to use to switch the amp instead of just using the...

    Fractal Fx-8

Actually the FX8 is optimized for 4CM so it's quieter, it also has channel switching where the AX8 does not. Nice piece of gear. Have fun with it.

I am finding this a very mid focused amp, more so than any other Marshall I've owned. Anybody else find this? Mid knob on 5 is max for me.

    Dsl40cr Midi And Channel Access

Not as I read in the manual. Looks like channel, FX loop, and master volume. Not sure why they did this, hopefully I'm wrong.

    Dsl40cr With 2x12

In theory that is what you would do. Not sure how well mixing impedences would be though so I'll let someone else answer that question.

    Dsl40cr With 2x12

Wiring two 16ohm speakers in parallel will yield an 8ohm load, wiring in series will yield a 32ohm load.

Ya, I really like it. The stock Vtype speaker sounds great as well.
