Hi guys!
I recently got an opportunity to buy a ’99 Ibanez RG550 MIJ locally, Desert Yellow color.
The serial number checks out, the guy is the 2nd owner so he does not know details on the modification performed on this guitar.
Fret scalloping has been done from fret 12 and onwards, original...
For sure you have a good argument there.
It could be that the Kemper profile was just dialed in a shitty way - that is always a possibility.
However, I find it kind of unlikely since that particular guitarist in question is a guy with a lot of experience, did countless tours and sessions, and...
I went to a show a few days ago and witnessed a tone check before the concert.
One guitar player was playing through Kemper presets and the other had a Marshall-style drive pedal through a Fender hot-rod combo amp or something like that.
Needless to say, the sound of the Fender guy was...
I am mostly hybrid these days. Real tube amp head --> load box (such as Suhr) --> IR loader --> studio monitors. Getting some perfect tones and perfect for recording.
UAFX stuff sounds great to get convincing tube tone --> stuff like Dream 65, and Ruby --> great boxes indeed.
For the live...
Howdy guys!:hippie:
Not really an expert on the Gibsons, but now I think the time has arrived for me to finally get one.
However, can somebody tell me which of these two Les Pauls would be a better choice? Which one is a greater value so to speak and which one would you choose?
Note: The money...
As someone having both Origin 50H and SV20H, I can only concur! I have been saying this previously as some of you will know.
Origin is a unique animal that I feel is not inferior to SV20...it is just a different flavor of an essentially similar sound. I think that Origin is a Marshall worth...
Actually putting SD-1 before BE-OD will result in pumping more gain into already heavy-driven BE-OD and will result in the mush. Since you want to boost volume after BE-OD for the purposes of the solo boost then yes, SD-1 should go after the BE-OD with gain on SD-1 set at 0 and volume to taste...
Marshalls all the way...and is the only amp brand that I use.
If I could pick and use something else than Marshall it would probably be something by John Suhr. Suhr stuff is rock solid and always delivers.
I can concur! I love this beast! It is a very versatile amp...sits right in between Plexi and more aggressive Studio Jubilee. Dime the master volume and tone down on the preamp and you can get bright and glassy Plexi tones...hit the preamp harder and perhaps add a boost like SD-1 and you have a...
Yes, it is worth getting the Origin 50 head. Yes, they are great amps (in my book they provide far above their price range).
It is a unique and another "color" of the Marshall sound spectrum and in that sense, it is worth adding to the stable. I have Origin 50 head along with more expensive...
Owned it. Traded it in some crazy trade, usually not too attached to guitar gear, unless it is Marshall of course.
It was a great amp indeed, very capable and versatile! Bruce Egnater knows his stuff and that amp is the proof.
As a guitar player, I do not rely much on the chorus in my playing and I use it only in rare instances.
Therefore, I do not know much about technical nuances on thousands of chorus pedals out there and haven't spent too much time on chorus research over the years.
However, I feel that as a...
