I have a late 70's dimarzio super d in my charvel that I wax potted myself with no problems. It's pretty easy to do without wrecking the pup.

I love the JVM, is there any other Marshall amp with as much gain

I dont think there are ANY other tube amps with as much gain let alone a Marshall.

I think the slang for those are McRosies and they are awesome!

So I got some cash to spend on a 100 watt head Vintage Modern vs JVM

I would think the dsl green channel with the gain up would be similar to a vm. The ultra gain on the dsl is similar to the jvm's od channels, but I actually much prefer the jvm. It's always a matter of opinion with tone though. Honestly the dsl should cover the ground ur looking to cover...

    Overwhelmed!!

Just make sure you get something with an effects loop if your are using reverb and delay as time based effects typically do not sound as good in front of a amp and should be in the loop.

So I got some cash to spend on a 100 watt head Vintage Modern vs JVM

+1 for the jvm especially if your considering a 6505+ as well, which does have a clean channel btw, as I don't think the vm has quite that amount of gain and low end thump as a 5150 type amp for metal. I recently sold a jvm 205 in favor of a 2204 however the 205 is a great amp. Someone stated...

Who here actually cranks their amp (Regularly)

Higher frets on a Les Paul

After playing it long enough you just get used to it. My lp has been my #1 for the past 4 years and I don't have a tough time playing higher up the neck.

    Overwhelmed!!

Yeah I've never owned a bogner, though played them extensively, also owned 2 dsls in the past. I only recommended those amps because I think they will do what the op wants and more. Problem is there are ton of amps that can what he's looking for.

    Overwhelmed!!

There are so many options for what you described dude, if money isn't an issue for you look into the bogner xtc and shiva, both are top of the line amps and will do what you want in spades. A cheaper option and if you wanna stay with Marshall would be the vintage modern or dsl. JCM 800 is a...

You should see the one on the back lol, I have a daughter now so the girl on the back might be coming off. Thanks though, it's been a great guitar, I've got a duncan JB in the bridge now and it rips.

Had this girl since I was 16, been to over 200 shows with me, never play one with out it, even if it's just as a back up. I cracked the headstock right in half about 7 years ago, glued it back myself and it still holds tune and sounds great! Sorry about the terrible photos...

2210 owners jump... quick question for you(s)

My bad, I had a 88 for a little while and it was a killer amp. Reverb was pretty nice too.

New guy here (lots of marshall vids)

Any of those amps will do 80's hard rock. My experience with the jubilee is my most limited, I just played it, the engineer dialed in most of the tones. If I were you I'd probably get a DSL, they are the cheapest, they take pedals well and does the 80's thing in spades. I know the 205 is od2...

New guy here (lots of marshall vids)

The dsl and jvm are both gonna be cheaper and easier to find. It kind of depends on what kind of music you are doing too, the jub doesn't have the kind of gain the dsl and certainly the JVM have (JVM has too much imo), although it takes pedals really well. They are all pretty killer amps but...

For those looking for small practice amps

I wasn't aware of that, I'm not much on modding but it might be fun to bust out a soldering iron and give it a try.

2210 owners jump... quick question for you(s)

Already mentioned, but in 86 they started making them so the channel's wouldn't bleed into each other. Those later 2210 and 2205 are awesome amps, little harsher then the typcial 800 to my ears, but more gain, more suited to "thrashier" playing.
