I saw everything he did back in the day. I Lived for it. He motivated me to ride and break many many bones. In fact, I stopped playing guitar from 1990-2013 because I destroyed my pinky in a race.
Evel was the man. Wide world of sports would show him at the beginning when they say "the Agony of...
So, I had a bit of snow-fuzzz infecting my Classic CH. Turns out it was a bad V2.
The amp still had the original Preamp tubes, and I switched them all out. What the heck.
I ended up putting a Tung-Sol 12AX7 in V1, V4
I went with a Preferred Series 7025 in V2, V3
I don’t have the extensive...
Thanks to the advice on another forum, I snagged this Epiphone Les Paul Special I P90 from GC for $79 last week.
I just looked, and it's back to $149
It's the only cheap guitar I own, but I am very impressed....for the price. The p90's, played thru my DSL40c classic channel is fantastic. I...
Go For for the SG. A new Studio or preferably a used standard. You know you want it. Don't fight it anymore. Just get it. Thank me later! You're welcome! Merry Xmas
Yea, I tried three guitars and multiple cords. All quality equipment. Zero change.
Tubes would be the simplest fix I would think. just wasn't sure if complete annoying fuzz was a tell tail sign.
Thanks for the advice, seems like a good start. Maybe I'll try out different varieties.
Hey Folks,
So I haven't used my classic/clean in a long time. I wanted to do some mellow jamming tonight, and I noticed that channel is fuzzy as all heck. So much so, I can't enjoy it.
Switching back between the Classic and the Ultra gain I now notice it on both channels.
Are we talking a...
I share a band room with another band (it's their room), so I volunteered to do some spring cleaning. There is a collection, as in dozens, of dead, dying, or destroyed equipment. I was given permission to toss it all. I noticed a Marshall MG100DFX. So I thought I would take it home and see if I...
I use my DSL40 every night at bedroom level, and it sounds great. I also use it in the band room every weekend, and it BLASTS.
I absolutely love this amp. It's very versatile. But most important, it just sounds so good with my SG.
I think the 40 is a great choice, but it depends on your total...
G the Wildman, I haven't done any research as to what speaker I would use. I have an old single combo, which I have been thinking about turning into a single extension. My drummer is a heavy hitter, so I'm debating on my situation.
If you are just jamming at home, I would think you are fine...
Congrats on 300. This thread won me over. I was in the market for something small...something I could practice with, and maybe jam if needed. I was intrigued by the CODE, which led me to this forum. I lurked for a while, then I found this thread on the 40c. Well, long story short, I'm now the...
Thanks...She is one tough young lady. Loves fishing. That picture and one from the year before made it into the second page on the CT Anglers guide Back/back years. She wants the cover shot sooooo bad!
Also enjoy ice fishing here. If you haven't tried, it's a must. Lots of hanging around, but it's a great social event. Doesn't hurt to have a cocktail to keep you warm either....and lots of food!
unfortunately for me, my niece is a better fisherman that I.
Im on the shoreline in CT, so we have the long island sound to contend with. But, an hour trip puts us out in the big waters.
Of coarse, along our shores we have our lobster pots. Oh yeaaaaa!!!!
Love fishing, but not as much as the guitarist in my band....our jamming really slows down when the stripers are running strong. The good part is, I don't need to get a boat now, he has that covered. If I can't jam, I may as well join the fun.
We have the same fish here....stripers , blues...
Having just picked up a DSL40c, I haven't had to much time to experiment with settings. This set up sounded fantastic with my 2010 SG std, and I don't even have the creamback....yet. Not sure if its a Randy tone, but it's a great starting point for me.
Really digging this amp, and the endless...
Hello Everyone
Picked up a 2 knob strat in 83-84ish, can't remember the year but I had a mullet. Jammed for a few years then stopped... I should have never put it down, because I didn't pick it back up until 4 years ago. (shouldn't have had a mullet either, WTF!)
I'm making up for lost time...
