I had a really beat up Blackface, so I tore off the tolex to redo it. I found that the original wood underneath looked nice, so I sanded, stained, and finished it, added diamond plate, and now this is what she looks like. Have it setting on a 2x10. Very happy with it.
I paid $1800 for mine, and it needed about $200 of work to get it in perfect working order. So yes, I agree, I paid $2000 for an amp that probably is not that much better than others I could get for half that. But it is what I wanted, they are getting harder to find in mint condition, so I...
And all across the world guitarist simultaneously began playing "Slash tone". The mystery, some placing along side Amelia Earhart, the Kennedy Assassination, Bigfoot, and the Bermuda Triangle, was now solved by a simple piece of tape. Years of speculation, and thousands of dollars were spent by...
When I saw the 1975 Ford Gran Torino Starsky and Hutch car I had to have (mid-life crisis), I put it on my credit card ($12,000), then signed up for a Chase Credit card that has 18 months interest free on balance transfers. I transferred the entire amount onto the Chase card, and then took my...
This just seems so insane to me, I cannot imagine how this amp could sound so wonderful it is worth this coin. For 50K it better sound like a choir of angels singing back to me.

If I bought a Gibson SG Standard or 61 RI with regular stop tail bridge, and wanted to modify it to add a Gibson Maestro Tremolo, would there be visible holes where the bridge was, or does it cover up fine?
Thanks for any help.
OK, slow day here, cold out so I am stuck inside, thought I would combine two of the coolest things of all time into one picture, my mint 87 Marshall Silver Jubilee and my mint 1970's Evel Knievel!! Rock on :headbanger:
Funny story with this, I took the pick-guard to a trophy shop to have Randy Rhoads engraved on it, when I went to pick it up, the lady handed it to me after I paid and said "Thank you and have a nice day Mr Rhoads". Obviously she had no idea who RR was, and why I was getting that engraved.:)
You are right my friend, Looks only, it goes out of tune, pickups suck, feels light like it is made of particle board. I look at it more of a piece of art in the man cave, in line with a poster of RR on the wall, I never play it, just like the look next to the Frank I built.
Chinese, tested the waters to see what would show up, paid $359, got free shipping, and that showed up 2 weeks later in a hard shell case. Neck should be ebony so I need to darken it. trying to replicate RR's Les Paul.
I agree with every comment above, hate all the same things, only thing I will throw at you playing devils advocate:
The sticky at the top says this:
"All transactions and business are to be conducted privately between parties and should not take place on this site".

OK, here it is, I finally got the pickup wired, and the decals on the back. At the bottom of the photos is a short clip, crappy camera sound, but Silver Jubilee sweetness none the less. I am very happy with the final result.
